Appearance: Maria, with curly, wispy brown hair that reaches to her shoulders, is much less than extraordinary, rather her appearance is quite plain. Gray eyes that are flecked with a bright hue of blue and a thin smile makes her appearance much less noticeable than others. Her skin, a fair colour, is the same as many others in the District, and she stands at 5’3’’, quite short, with a normal build.
Personality: Maria is sarcastic and witty when she wants to be, but when she is alone or with people she doesn’t like, she’d much rather not talk at all. Her personality is basically her trying to deal with the idiot’s in her District, so she comes off as cold and uncaring. While she is extremely loyal to her friends, she often finds that they go behind her back, severing her trust with them- so Maris isn’t a newbie to backstabbers. Maria is quite boring, her personality barely showing through.
Reason for Sacrifice: She just wanted out of her life; so it’s either she’ll die or she’ll come back and live a different, better, more satisfying life. She doesn’t really care, she just wants out of her monotonous, boring, going nowhere life.
History: Maria grew up as the only child of two parents who worked long hours at the factory producing circuit boards. Maria grew up making and doing her own things, from dinner to buying clothes. Her parents were there of course, to help her when need be, but for the majority of the time, she was left alone, and that was perfectly fine with her.
Average in school, she found it quite dull and just wanted to get working and get a job. She had one close friend, Lisa, who, though quite quiet, was always there for Maria, even when no one else was there, both literally and metaphorically.
Recently, Maria has found her life exceptionally boring, and going absolutely nowhere- it’s the same day in and day out; and so Maria has been absolutely bored out of her skull waiting for something to happen.
