Just stating this now, but some students that we all know and love are in D-Class in this AU. Like Karma and Rio. Other students may appear there as well, but that's probably for later.

- Nagisa's POV-

Though a pretty badly hurting and forming bruise on my forehead sure wasn't anything pleasant, I ran through the halls to meet my destination. As long as I wasn't finishing a piece of toast I made in a rush, I think I'm somewhat fine with this situation.

Being late isn't anything to be fine about, but actually being forced to go on a date with this savior of mine is almost too good to be true. It's not like I really wanted to, but more like I really didn't mind and the result of me agreeing was the lack of my tongue being weakened by another.

In the end, I win. I have absolutely no problem with that fact.

While entering the classroom, I got scolded at by a pretty strict teacher that just had to be assigned to teach this class. Hoorah.

With a sigh of relief that I made it before attendance taking was over, I slouched into my seat between Sugino and Kayano, two friends that I've been very fond of since a few months into the school year. Taking off my coat, I felt a tap on my shoulder. Kayano met me with a worried gaze, her hand holding a note she seems to want to pass me if it wasn't for the teacher still gazing at me in disappointment.

Once he started walking towards his desk, the green-haired girl had passed me the piece of paper with her blessed reflexes.

As quietly as I possibly could, I opened the note to find her neat handwriting on it, the message she wanted me to receive being very small so I could use the rest of the space to answer.

'Why were you late? Did you oversleep?'

With my pencil in hand, I wrote down my reply without really thinking of an answer, but scribbling down my thoughts anyway.

'No. I just decided to walk to school and that didn't end up so good.'

That sufficed her curiosity enough to not pass me anymore notes during class for the rest of the day. If I had told her I was late because I was too invested into talking with a D-Class student that I happened to practically live with for now, I feel as if she probably would've been more curious. Or worried. Or God forbid fangirling.

To keep up with my promise that I made to the devilish being, I tried finding him at lunch when the time came by.

Because of my lack of food on a tray, I didn't have to worry about him sneaking behind me and me being so clumsy I drop my food. Still, I was worried that he may have ditched me or if he got into a fight of some sort. He gave off that vibe when he told me he went to the same school as me.

I felt a sudden tap on my shoulder, my hand ready to take a defensive stance but to only meet face to face with the baseball freak Sugino. "Oh, hey. H-Have you seen a redhead anywhere? Yellow eyes and probably a hidden piercing I don't know about?"

He grinned like an idiot. "Karma Akabane of D-Class right? He invited you to our table so c'mon Nagisa!" Without as much as a warning, he pulled my arm to make me follow his way to a lunch table. He pulled my arm to lead me to there. If it wasn't for the numerous bruises and cuts aligning both my arms, this would've been perfectly fine and dandy.

As an unintentional reaction, I swatted away from his monster grip. "Quit it!"

He turned back to me, his hand reluctantly choosing to stay near him instead of my now aching arm. "Oh, sorry. Did I pull too hard or something?"
