Marina's POV

Suddenly, out of nowhere, thunder boomed outside and I screamed loudly, dropping the tv remote and letting it clatter against the wooden floor.

I ran and closed the curtains. As if that was going to help.

I heard thunder again and I screamed a little quieter, but nevertheless screamed, and I ran back to the couch.

I hated thunder. Always have, always will.

As it boomed again, I curled myself up into a ball and started to cry. I was missing the end of my favourite Spongebob episode, but I was too terrified to give a fuck.

I grabbed my phone from the coffee and searched through my contacts.

Mom and dad? They were in New York, they'd be no help.
Dua? She'd be exhausted, no use bothering her.

After a long scroll through managers and security and dancers and other useless people, Marina came to one conclusion.

There was only one person she could call.

Lana's POV

I jumped at the sound of my phone's shrill ringing. The thunder and lightning didn't bother me but every other noise on the planet did.

I picked it up without looking at the caller ID.

"Hello?"

"Help me, I don't like the thunder"

"Marina?!"
