Chapter 9

My mouth hung open. "Might wanna close your mouth, or a bug might go in," Carlos said to me in a picking tone. Haley hadn't looked away from me since she walked in the door. I could tell she was worried about my reaction.

"Can I talk to you alone for a minute," I asked Haley. She nodded and we walked in the hall. I turned to her, "You already got marked?!?!" She looked at me with worry still in her eyes. "Yeah I got marked last night. I told you my feelings for him are going fast. I wanted him to do it."

I honestly I didn't know how to feel. Of course I was happy for her, but if they already were marked, I can't even imagine how much Carlos wants to mark me. He is an alpha so the mate bond effects him harder. Haley's face turns more worried when I don't answer her.

"Oh Haley, I'm happy for you, I really am! It's just, of you are already marked, I can't even imagine how hard Carlos is struggling not to mark me. He doesn't deserve a mate who isn't ready to be marked and mated. He deserves someone who want make him wait. I just met him and I'm already hurting him!"

Haley's face turned to understanding. "Kathie Carlos doesn't want or deserve anyone but you. It will probably do him some good to wait until you're ready. He's an alpha,yes, and the mate bond effects him harder, but that also means he can handle a lot more than a normal wolf."

She gives me a quick hug. "And if he hasn't marked you yet, it means he cares and is going to wait until you're ready. He's not gonna push you." I smile at her. "Thanks Haley. I'm so glad I have you with me. I don't think I could handle doing this alone."

She smile, "Me too. Let's get back in there."

Carlos's pov

The girls walked to the hallway. I turned to Jacob, "I see you marked Haley." He grins like a little kid, "Yeah I was surprised she wanted me to. I guess I got lucky. What about you and Kathrin? Did someone get laid," he said wiggling his eyebrows.

I chuckled, "No I didn't get laid. I did however get the best sleep since I was little. And I had a little make out session this morning. She even admitted to liking kissing me, so we're getting somewhere. "

Jacob frowned, "Isn't it hard to be so close to her and not want to mark and mate her? You are an alpha after all, and I can barely control myself around Haley. It's easier now that I marked her though."

I frowned thinking about when I was with Kathrin. "It's extremely hard to keep control around her, but she is a human and I barely have a relationship with her now, and I refuse to lose her just because I couldn't wait for something I will have a lifetime of."

I looked at him worried and angry. "Jacob I love her and I can't tell her because it's too soon for her. She wouldn't believe me; she would just think it was the bond. But I swear my feelings are mine. I'm going to go crazy!!"

He looks at me like only a childhood friend could. He sighs like he is the one in my place. "Carlos, I think you should tell her. Make her believe that you are telling the truth. Prove it to her. Show her that you would do anything for her. Because if you don't at least mark her this month you're gonna go crazy."

I breathed deeply. "And how do you expose I do that?" He grins again. "Take her on a romantic dinner and tell her your going to throw a ball for the whole town and she is going to be he guest of honor."

I shook my head, "She wouldn't like to be the center of attention of the whole town." He paused and thought. Then he said, "Do her Luna ceremony early. That's only the pack and it would be entirely about her. Plus the pack could meet their new Luna."

I thought about that for a moment. "That's actually not a bad idea. I might do that. Thanks Jacob." "No problem, Alpha."

The door opens and the girls walk in with their arms linked.

Kathrin's pov

We walked back in the kitchen where the boys were. Haley let go of my arm to goes to Jacob. "Anyone wanna go swimming today," Jacob asks casually. Haley immediately says, "Kathrin and I want to, we both love swimming. Plus we need to work on our tans."

Carlos looks at me. "I'll go too, but tonight I'm taking Kathrin on a date." This is the first time I've heard of this but since we're dating and are mates I don't have a problem with it. I look towards Haley, "Did you forget that we don't have swimming suits?" She just waves her hand at me. "We can stop at my house. I bought two new ones for us a month ago." I do love to swim so I agreed.

We got in Carlos's car with him and Jacob in front and Haley and I in the back. Haley got out at her house and came back with her beach bag.

We got to the beach at went to the bathrooms for us all to change. Haley handed me my "bathing suit". I look at it then say, "Haley that is not a bathing suit, that is a string with two little triangles!"

She rolls her eyes, "It covers everything it just shows more of your DD cup boobs and big butt. I originally got it so you could find a boyfriend, but since you have Carlos you can just give him a sneak peek."

My face turns red, "I don't want to give Carlos a sneak peek!!" She rolls her eyes again, "Well we're already here and my D cup isn't going to fit you, and besides it's the same way as yours. So suck it up and go put it on."

I sigh but go put it on. I wrap my towel around my basically naked body and we walk out. We meet the guys on the beach. Carlos doesn't have a shirt on and boy is he fit.

I just stare at his body for about a minute straight before he chuckles. "Kat if you wanted to see me shirtless, all you had to do was ask." I turn fire red. "I'm---I'm s-s-sorry. I didn't mean to stare."

He chuckles again. "Now it's your turn. Take your towel off." I shake my head, "I don't think so. Haley," I look at her, "has a sense of amusement about when it comes to my bathing suit." He eyes me curiously.

"You take the towel off or I will." I glare at him, "You wouldn't dare." He smiles evilly, "Try me." I just shake my head no. He starts running towards me and I turn and run away. It doesn't take long for him to catch me though.

He yanks the towel off my body and eyes me head to toe. His eyes turn pitch black. He closes his eyes and try's to steady his breathing. He opens his eyes but they're still black.

"Stay by me because if another guy looks your way I might kill them." I nod knowing by his tone that he was serious. He nods, "Good. Now let's go get wet hot stuff." He picks me up and throws me over his shoulder and starts running towards the water.

I felt helpless in the position I was in. I'm not fat but I have a lot of curves, and right now my butt was in his face and my boobs were pressed against his back.

He was about waist deep in the water when he slapped my butt and threw me in the water. When my head was above the water again I pounce on Carlos. "Why the heck did you slap my butt?!"

He laughs, "Because it was in my face and I couldn't help myself." He smashed his lips against mine and I responded.

We swam for hours. I stayed by Carlos's side the whole time, not wanting him to hurt anyone. We left tanned and wet. I had fun and I think they did too. And the day wasn't over, I still have my date with Carlos.
