ROY

The road to the cafeteria was full of harmless jokes and weird puns along with endless laughing. Soon, I realized Percy is a really cool guy, and it felt like we had the same sense of humor. Pretty soon we reach an open hall with several moving bodies, walking to tables.

When we entered the open loft, I saw twelve or so huge wooden tables separated in two columns with a bunch of different kids with varieties of ages and ethnicities sitting on them. Except for one table that were all blondes working on scrolls and written assignments. One girl, who looked the oldest of all of them, even had a computer, though I wonder if that effects the radiation signal Percy was talking about.

I spotted Hazel at a table with only Nico, and Piper with a bunch of pretty kids including the girl i'd seen, named Drew, earlier. She looked absolutely bored and wanting of any kind of distraction away from her table, with her elbow on the table and her leaning on it.

She was made contact with a blonde guy at a table alone and rolled her eyes followed by a small smile.

The other blonde boy grinned cheerfully, and then slid over, patting the seat next to him, and she gladly took place at his table. He put his arm around her and they soon made conversation, as I stood awkwardly watching everything. At Nico and Hazel's table Nico was showing her something by waving his palm across the table slowly as she picked up nearby glinting object and examined it, then slowly put it in her short's pocket.

The way Nico was explaining it, it seemed very important, like a dimensional blue print he was trying to comprehend. Even though he was a bit of a jerk when I met him, I still admired his way of getting straight to the point. And NO that has nothing to do with his admirable face.

I wasn't very big on looks, seeing as I sometimes had an untamed lion's mane on my head, which probably wasn't the best look for me; but I was a sucker for mysteries or should I say mysterious people for some reason.

Of course the couple of boys I liked in my lifetime never seemed to like me back, but I'm fine with that. It's not like I wanted to date them, I just kind admired them from afar I guess. One of them, Austin, wasn't very solid seeing as he was very moody, but I guess ten year old me didn't really care.

I snapped away from my daydream, now seeing as Nico was staring straight at me while I was in my daze. I smiled weakly and he just stared at me like I was the weirdest thing since cream soda. This time I was not over exaggerating. I'm pretty sure he thought I was missing a bit of screws in my head, which I kinda was, but in a good way. After all, you don't get anything risky done by being extraordinarily boring.

Percy continued to rant on about something as he made hand gestures, pointing out tables, we're kids we're sitting. "-so that's where you'll be sitting, and whose cabin you'll be sleeping in until you get claimed. They've already moved your skateboard and book bag in the cabin so you don't have to go back to the infirmary to get them. The food will magically appear to what you want, the drink als-"

"Wait, seriously?"

Percy smiled wickedly. "Yes, seriously."

"And since the tables are sorted by your godly parent, I'll be sitting over there with by brother, Tyson, and his girlfriend Ella."

He pointed to the table with a huge dude with mopey brown hair covering his upper face and a girl with fiery red hair, tan skin and a burlap dress on. They seemed to have a cute conversation full of giggles going on.

"Got it. So which table is the Hermes one?"

He pointed to a long table full of about twenty or so kids. Of course it had to be the one where a lot of children are. Because everything just comes out perfect for Aurora and her ability to speak to strangers now doesn't it?
