Escaped

Friendship

"YOU FREEZE" the voice repeated like a scratched record player. " please I didn't mean to" she begged even though she had no idea what she did. blood splattered up and down her back as her face had a constant fear on it. a red knife lied on the ground drowning in a pool of guts. two dead bodies layed behind her stiff- although she had no idea who they where. she closed her eyes as the sound of a gun shot fired.

mea was sitting on a chair at get sporty. she was facing dawn trying not to daydream again. she focused on soaking in every single detail she said , but then just lost her pace of words and thought about something else. she nodded her head non stop as dawn shut her mouth and stared at her best friend.

" your not even listening to me are you?" she asked.

" not at all" mea responded.

dawn sighed and stood up as the chair spun in circles. mea followed her as they walked to the middle of the store while people walked pass them. " mea have a seat" dawn instructed pulling out a chair and waving her hand to it.

mea awkwardly sat down fiddling with her skirt. " okay" she said raising an eyebrow.  dawn twirled around and walked to the other chair before sitting down quickly with a loud thump scrapping her chair closer to the table. she leaned forwards placing her hands together and stared at her with her head tilted.

" we need to talk" dawn instructed.

" talk about what?" mea shrugged.

" talk about you"

" I know I'm special and all , but to make an official dawn-and-mea-only meting about me.. then okay" mea said in her sassy tone as dawn sighed rubbing her temples.

" don't play dumb. something is up and its bothering you. you haven't even payed attention at all to me this week. what's going on?" dawn complained. mea sighed before shrugging her shoulders. " I don't know its just- look I've been getting these weird feelings like something bad is about to happen to me. to you. TO EVERYONE AROUND ME. its not like a normal thought that comes and goo's- this vibe has been sticking to me since I left for new York" mea said.

dawn was about to speak , but then squinted her eyes and stopped herself from speaking. she shook her head and thought of different words to say. " look mea I can see how you feel. sometimes I get vibes to. like how I KNOW MY BROTHERS ARE ABOUT TO STRIP EVERY MANNEQUIN IN THE SHOP" she yelled loudly as her brothers Nicky, Ricky, and Dicky all stopped grabbing the mannequins clothes and ran back upstairs.  

she sighed facing back to mea. " but those are just family senses. maybe something is going to happen to your family" dawn said showing an example. " so your saying my moms gonna have bad news?" mea said alright shaking in fear.

" NO- no I mean maybe they're bringing home a cake, or a new bicycle or a do-" dawn stop as she seen mea growl under her breath "ooo-cat. a ginger cat" dawn said. " YEAH. I love cats" mea clapped. " or course you do" dawn mumbled under her breath biting her lip and holding back an eye roll.

" wait but its not my birthday yet" mea complained making a pouting face. " it doesn't have to be your birthday. for example: my mom got me a new make up kit for my birthday present and gave it to me three weeks earlier" dawn said as they squealed.

" and by three weeks earlier she means peeked inside the box that was hidden in the basement and pretended to let her mother think she lost it" Ricky said popping out under the table.

" how long where you there?" dawn asked.

" the whole time" Dicky said popping out as well.

" its not that hard to follow you girls" Nicky said following after Dicky.

dawn picked up and plastic straw and held it in a knife position threatening them. the three boys stumbled over their shoes and ran up the stairs again.

she set the straw back down and took a huge deep breath. " look the point is you wont know until after you go find out for yourself" dawn said. mea squalid squirming in her seat taking her bag. " mama gonna need a new bag for the kitty. got to run" mea squalid hugging dawn before head towards the door.

" oh and dawn" she asked as dawn turned around with a smile. mea was about to tell her something when her smile faded to a frown. " thanks" she said turning it back to a smile. she waved goodbye as mea ran home.
