"Josh?" I whispered. We were laying in bed, about to go to sleep. He hummed and I turned in his arms. "I-I lo-" my voice cracked and I couldn't talk anymore.
"What's wrong?"
"I can't say it! I just wanna say it."
"Calm down baby boy. It'll come. I promise. You'll be able to say whatever you need to."
"But how? What if I can never say it?" I whispered.
"Then it's okay. You can just look at me with those beautiful eyes and I'll know. I'll know whatever you wanna say."
"Thank you."
"No problem. I love you." I looked at him with those eyes and he smiled. "I know you do." I smiled and hugged him.
"I don't know why I can't say it. I wish I could. I'm sorry."
"It's okay. You've been hurt by me. I understand. It's your mind protecting you."
