I turned and did a double take.
Did she say what I think she said? That she will take GREAT care of me?! OMG OMG OMG!!! Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! Flirt alert! I can't believe it! I mean, I thought she was straight but now... not so much!!! I have a chance!!! I have a chance with my new crush! OMG!!!!!

My thoughts shattered as I was pulled back to reality. Kat was waving her hand in front of my face, trying to gain my attention. Seeing that beautiful face, for a moment I thought I was dreaming.
I pinched myself. Ouchie! Nope! Still awake!
Kat tapped my forehead gently with her index finger.
"Hello in there!"
I grinned even wider. She smiled at my response.
"Finally! You've been spacing out for the past few minutes! I thought I was going to have to throw something at you to get you to pay attention!"
I laughed and gave her a sly smile.
"Well... you could just throw yourself at me! That would get my attention!" I said with a wink.
She blushes a light pink.
She's just...*mental sighing*... so adorable! Can I keep her? I promise, Mommy! I'll love her, and squeeze her, and call her mine! Is that how it goes? No, it's "I'll lock her in my closet and call her George!" Eh. Something like that!
Kat laughs and swats my arm.
"Hahahaha! That's funny! What a laugh! Hahaha!" She looks me in the eye. "Haha! Ya know... for a second there, I thought ya were being for REAL!"
She continues to laugh awkwardly, but I see the truth in her eyes.
She is afraid...
Afraid of liking me...
I know how to fix that...
