Chapter 1 - A careless mistake

I find myself standing on some sort of edge cliff. It looked like a forest had been laying around somewhere and when I looked around; trees, leaves and even copses around. I was pretty sure it was the season of fall here.

The sustenance of nature had seem quite present in these woods. The air was light, you could feel the presence of nature herself in everything around. Trees were golden; grass seemed pleasant.

I had also felt as though the presence of animals had occured right beneath and beside me. When I turned, I saw birds chirping and singing their usual song. I can see deers skipping towards the inner woods. I took a step forward and it was literally ,seeing as from it, very peaceful.

I breathed in and exhaled; smelling all sorts of nature. I couldn't ask more from the presence of mother nature herself other than this. It was perfect; everything was. Then after a beat, a small pebble, fell from one of the homes of the birds, nests rather. I blinked and open my eyes to see reality as it is.

I saw the birds panicking, the deers skipping towards their untimely escape.
Then it all happened again.

As I turned, everything turned dark. No more, beauty, peace nor soothing presence of nature at all. Everything was dark, cold and red colored.

I turned and faced the sun, it had all suddenly turned brighter and brighter. I gasped and everything shattered, I screamed and the black out occured.

Then when I had mustered up all my strength to get up. Everything was ten times worse. Fires everywhere, creatures with dark, coarse and enlightened eyes with a red glow, it seemed they were glowering right at me.

I paused, looked around, my vision became at the point, blurry and yet wavvy at the same time. I had no confidence at all to turn and look around. Once I did, creatures started to come closer as if pursuit would hit them.

One of them howled, one of them sneered. The Sun had turned completely red, I put on a trembling face as if I was at the brink of catastrophe.

I take a step back and I realized, I was standing on where I stood before; a dark cliff with it seems like a spot light for me to fall. It seemed as though I could here nothing, no life, no beauty, just complete silence from it.

As I took my step back I could hear the pebbles on my foot slip, and here them plummet into what I recall was people.
Dead people. Zombies.

Completely petrified, I took a look at my stance, I made my way towards the edge and I could still feel the presence of the creatures unknown to mankind slipping towards me. Coming at me slowly yet terrifyingly dubious of what they may do next.

Will they eat me alive?
Slaughter me?
Make me their slave?

These questions started to plummet in my core memory. My mind filled with terror, I gasped. The earth trembled, the flames that occured in the obliterating blast had risen. The ground shaked like there was an earthquake.

I could hear people screaming, grasping a hold of the land. Once I realized it, one had grasped me by the foot then another by the hand. I tried to shake it off but they were too strong.

Death bodies, if I remember they were called in the ancient legends as thanatos-foreís. I remember it all now.

History shows that the thanatos-foreís are people who have died through an unknown form of matter; or in other cases magic. They are formed to become soldiers; from the old legend God of Death. Thanatos.

They grabbed me in an instant; I kept squirming and yelling; even struggling but on only managed to get loose. The other one seemed upset and pulled towards my death.
