Chapter Eleven

It's been a couple days since I found out that Johnny and Pony ran away. It's been a terrible couple of days, everyone is stressed about the whole situation. Dally said later today we would head over to Windrixville and see the guys. I got into the passenger of Bucks T-Bird, and gave Dal a kiss on the cheek.

The ride wasn't too long but it was still boring, so when we got there I hopped out and did a happy dance that made Dally laugh. We walked into the church and found Pony and Johnny sleeping on the old pews. Dally woke them up and gave Pony the note from Sodapop, "Wanna go eat?" Dally asked and the boys eagerly agreed. We got back into the car and went to the nearest Dairy Queen, we all got BBQ sandwiches and cokes.

-Time Lapse-

We just got done eating and were on our way back to the church. The closer we got we saw the flames and heard some children screaming. Pony, Johnny, and I jumped out and ran to the church to help the kids that were trapped inside. We pushed past the flames to the back rooms where the kids were. Johnny and I handed the kids to Pony who handed them to Dally who was waiting outside a window he busted open. I knew the roof was gonna cave any moment so I pushed Pony and Johnny out the window and Dally helped me out a few seconds before the roof caved in and the church crumbled.I tried to stay awake but I couldn't stop my eyes from closing.

A annoying beeping sound was the sound I woke up too. My eyes fluttered open and peered around the white room, no body was here. Am I dead? The door creaked open and the whole gang including my mom walked in. Once they saw I was awake they rushed over and pulled me into gentle hugs. "What happened?" I asked, "You helped save those kids from the burning church 'member?" Steve said. Then I remembered everything, the flames, the screams, the smoke, everything. I looked at my arms and saw them wrapped up in bandages and gauze, I had a IV in my arm and some little things blowing oxygen into my nose.

The doctor walked in and looked at a clipboard at the foot of my bed, "Well since you're awake you should be able to go home." he said with a smile showing off his perfect teeth. A nurse and in and sent everyone but my mom out, the nurse unhooked the IV from me and my mom helped me get dressed.

After I was ready they wheeled me out to the parking lot in w wheelchair that I didn't want to ride in but they made me. The gang was waiting by my moms car and Dally helped me in since I had also twisted my ankle. They followed us home so they made sure I was okay, but once Dally helped me into bed he made them leave so I could rest. I didn't object and as soon as my head hit my pillow I was asleep.
