Chapter Eight

I woke up from the best night ever, I looked at a shirtless Dallas and as much as I didn't want too I got up. I walked over to Dally's dresser and pulled out one of his huge t-shirts and walked to the bathroom to take a shower.

After I did what I needed to do I walked back into Dallas room to see him still asleep, I tip toed to his sleeping body and jumped onto his stomach so I was straddling his hips. "WAKE UP SLEEPY HEAD!" I yelled at him and kissed his face, all he did was groan and push me off the bed. Oh heck naw! I used all my strength and pushed him off too, "Ah! I'm up!" He yelled getting up off the floor. We changed into some more a propitiate clothes and walked out, well more like him chasing me out of Bucks.

We walked to Dairy Queen to eat some breakfast and drink a coke, after we ate and Dal paid we decided to go to the park. I ran over to the swings as soon as we arrived, "Dal come push me." I yelled to him, he chuckled and stomped out his weed and came to push me. We spent the whole day at the park just messing around and having fun, it was now about time for the sunset so I made Dally watch one with me.

"Now I see why Johnnycakes and Ponyboy like these so much. It was beautiful!" I told Dal as I had my head on his shoulder, I moved to look at him and saw him with a small smile on this face. "Yeah it was but not as beautiful as you." he kissed me, "Wow that was the oldest line in the book." I joked. "Oh really now?" he asked me as we started to play wrestle with me, he needed up on top of me and gave me a passionate kiss. "I love you Aspen, I really do. I never felt this way about anyone before!" he told me, "I love you too Dal." I told him and he laid down beside me on the grass.

"I can't wait till we get married." he looked up at the star filled sky, "Y-you want to marry me?" I asked turning to face me with a smile. "Of course I do. Now let's get you home before your mom calls the cops." he picked me up and gave me a piggy back ride all the way home.

We walked up to the front porch and Dally kissed me and turned to leave, "Wait, come inside and stay the night." My mom wouldn't care because it was only Saturday. "You sure?" he asked, "Yep c'mon." We walked to my room and I gave him one of my dad's old shirts and some sweats, we changed into our clothes and fell asleep cuddled in each other's arms.
