Tengenji x Reader: My Boor

"You boor! What were you thinking!"

You clenched your eyes as you listened to the lecture of the red-haired guy. You had snuck into Tengenji Kakeru's room at night. You are his childhood friend--your families are also friends. You were used to being called a boor. To think that your childhood friend would lecture you like this, well--it's all natural. 

"I missed you--and Tavian, of course!" You cuddled the black cat as it snuggled into your arms, feeling very comfortable. Tengenji sighed. "Still, barging into my room isn't permitted and it can cause me extra trouble." He explained. Oops. You didn't think about that.

"Um...sorry about that, Kacchi."

You liked that nickname. Kacchi. Kacchi. His little name, Kakeru, has a little name on its own. You giggled as you liked the way it sounded. Tengenji sighed again.

"Now what? I'm afraid you have to sneak out from here." He said as he pulled you up.

"No, I wanna stay!!" You insisted and kept hugging Tavian. Tengenji grunted as he gave up. "y/n please I need some sleep it's already night. Tomorrow there's practice." He yawned. You liked seeing his cute and adorable yawning face. 

"I won't go, because it's night and I'm scared. If you force me to, I'll take Tavian with me! Won't you like my company, Taviaan?" You cooed as the cat answered, as always, with a meow.

You shot a challenging look at Tengenji as his face tensed up. "Ugh, fine. Don't expect anything to happen, though!" He blushed as he looked away and went to his study table. You tilted your head. What does he mean?

You played with Tavian for a while then got bored. You sneaked behind Tengenji to see what he's doing. Is he...reading a book? You took a glance at his perfect features...he really is a gorgeous person. Flashy eyes, slightly muscular body, sexy voice...and not to mention awesome hair. You loved everything about your childhood friend. Maybe this is why you had a crush on this guy. But you still wouldn't forget...what the both of you had promised a long time ago.

*flashback*

"Ne, Kacchi. If the both of us have grown...will you still be with me?"

"Of course, y/n! We'll stay forever this way!"

"Only as friends?"

"Yes. Maybe no. Don't you want to be friends forever and not anything else?"

"Yes! Why don't we make a pinky promise about this? I promise I will always be your best friend and only be that for the rest of our lives!"

"I promise too!"

*flashback end*

You sighed. The both of you are still kids back then. You didn't know if Tengenji still remembered that.

He turned to look at you. "Oi, how long are you going to stare at me like that, y/n?" You snapped out of it and blushed. "I'm sorry!" You continued to play with Tavian. He scoffed and went back to his reading. You stole glances at him and every time he felt weird you pretended to play with Tavian. You soon felt sleepy and slept on the floor with Tavian curled up next to you.

Tengenji's P.O.V

Soon I finished studying and yawned as I stretched my arms. But then I saw y/n already asleep with Tavian curled up next to her. "I knew this was going to happen." I sighed and stood up and carried her to my bed. I tried my best not to wake her up, but she did anyways. "Ng...Kacchi? Where are we going?" She asked as her eyes were still closed. I chuckled. She's always been this cute, huh? I put her in my bed and put a blanket over her small body. "To bed." I answered as I stroked her cheeks, blushing because her cheeks are so soft and kinda chubby. I slowly pinched her cheeks as she flinched. "But--but I thought you didn't like me...." She sleepily said as she still had her eyes closed. "I know...we've been best friends since kids...I know we made a promise to only be friends forever...but...I like you, Kacchi." She mumbled. I blushed. Y/n likes me?! I continued to stroke her cheek as she snuggled with my left arm. "Don't go...I know I'm ugly...and you called me a boor a lot. But I...want you to know my feelings, Kacchi. I'm just going to say that...." She added and finally slept peacefully. I covered a hand over my mouth. So she had the same feelings as mine. I looked at her adorable sleeping face and kissed her forehead. "I'll let you confess tomorrow, you little boor."

--Tomorrow-- Your P.O.V

You woke up to the sound of birds chirping at the morning. You sleepily opened your eyes and are surprised to find Tengenji sleeping right in front of you, holding your hand. You blushed and tried your best to not move to enjoy this blissful moment. You poked his cheek as he flinched and you giggled. "You're so cute." You whispered to him secretly.

"You think?"

You snapped out of your imagination to see him already awake. "K-Kacchi! I'm sorry I forgot about the time and overslept in your room instead..." You explained as he still looked at you.

"Don't you remember yesterday?"

"Eh? What happened?"

"That confession. You were half asleep that time."

"EH?! I CONFESSED?!"

He quickly closed your mouth. "Shh."

You blushed. "I'm sorry you had to listen to that."

He chuckled. "Don't worry. I actually felt relieved because I feel the same...way."

Eh? What did he say?

"You do? You like me too, Kacchi?" You asked him as you moved your face closer to his. He looked away. "W-well, I said it, boor! I don't need to say it twice!" He got out of the bed and pulled you up.

You laughed. "I'm so happy... But I still have a question for you. Am I the same, compared to the other people you called boor?"

He scoffed. "Of course not."

He pulled you closer to his chest. He whispers to your ear. "You're MY boor."
