El Sasquatch o Pie Grande es una criatura legendaria cuya existencia no se ha llegado a probar. Es uno de los crìptidos más famosos junto al monstruo del Lago Ness y el Yeti.
La comunidad cientìfica indica que las pruebas existentes no son lo suficientemente convincentes y generalmente las consideran como el resultado de mitologìa, folclore o identificación errónea. Muchos profesionales y académicos afirman que los estudios adicionales son una pérdida de tiempo, pero los partidarios de su existencia piensan que la evidencia actual puede ser escasa y que ha de evaluarse objetivamente a medida que se vaya presentando. Otros, incluyendo una subcultura activa, compuesta generalmente por aficionados, continúan investigando y actualmente consideran la existencia del sasquatchcomo posible descendiente del Gigantopithecus.

The Sasquatch or Big Foot is a legendary creature whose existence has not been proven. It is one of the most famous critters along with the Loch Ness Monster and the Yeti.
The scientific community indicates that the existing evidence is not convincing enough and generally considered as the result of mythology, folklore or misidentification. Many practitioners and scholars argue that additional studies are a waste of time, but supporters of their existence think that the current evidence may be sparse and that it has to be assessed objectively as it is presented. Others, including an active subculture, generally composed of amateurs, continue to investigate and currently consider the existence of sasquatch as a possible descendant of Gigantopithecus.
