$46,750.00 was the price my dad paid for his luxurious log cabin right outside of our hometown. We moved there 3 years after my mom died. When my mom died, it seemed as if my dad became a whole new man. He was quiet, barely spoke to anyone anymore except for me. He would hold small conversations with me but soon after, he would go isolate himself in the basement. I never really understood why but it really didn't matter to me. "Don't forget to turn in your essays on thursday, also we'll be having a quiz on friday." uttered Mr. Cambridge as he handed everyone their topics for their essays. As I exited the school house, my phone began to vibrate. It was a text from my dad, "I will be home late again tonight sweety, love you." Staring at the phone with a sad look, I replied "Ok, love you too." I wasn't bugging it too hard because that wasn't nothing new to me. As I boarded the school bus, I saw my bestfriend Emily holding our seats for us. As we engaged in conversation, Emily brought up a weird topic, "So did you hear about those girls who been going missing lately ?" There I sat puzzled and very curious, "No, how did you find out about it ?"
"Its going around the whole school, Vicky was one of the girls that went missing." Shocked in disbelief, I was brought to reality by the screeching sound of the bus breaks. As I climbed off the bus, I began to walk quickly, hoping I wasn't next. When I got home, I headed straight for the computer to expand my knowledge on the situation. "Missing girls in Lakeland 2015". An article popped up by the channel 34 news crew.
"17 year old Victoria Collins has been reported missing for the past 4 days. She has been added to the list of missing girls in Lakeland from 2012 to present day. It was very weird that I never heard about all these missing girls until now; Now my curiosity grew more and more.
