As I walked through the hallways the next morning, people were staring, pointing, and whispering about me. "That's the girl who stay in the cabin in the woods where the body parts were found."
"She knows who did it."
"She's probably the killer."
The negative comments weren't stopping for nothing. I quickly put my head down and sped walk to class. After class, It was lunch time. I grabbed a tray, got my food, and quickly found a empty table to sit at. Not in the mood to eat, I slid the tray to the side and layed on the table. Coming from a distance, I heard Emily's voice, "Jessica, whats wrong?" She sat down next to me and gave me a pat on the back.
"People are talking about me because they found the body parts in the woods near my cabin.."
"That doesn't mean anything at all; they're just a bunch of stupid bullies. Cheer up Jess, I know you don't having anything to do with it so it's ok."
I took a quick moment to realize she was right.
"Your right, thanks."
Later that day when I got home, my dad was already home but nowhere in sight. That could only mean one thing; he was in the basement. He spent the whole day in there and didn't come out to speak to me. Sitting up in the living room watching tv, suddenly I heard the basement door open. He finally decided to come out at 9:52 p.m. "Hey dad."
He continued to walk right by, not even looking in my direction. That was totally strange since he ALWAYS says hi to me. Day after day, I would speak to him and never get a reply back. He didn't act like this until the day we went to the Police station; he never been the same since. He was giving the basement more attention than his own daughter so I decided to do more research on the missing girls. I searched their names up on facebook one by one and looked at their photos. I knew 2 of the girls; Victoria & Katlyn. Strolling through Victoria photos, I noticed a colorful bracelet she was wearing in mostly all her photos. The bracelet looked EXCATLY like the bracelet I seen in the kitchen by the basement door. A million and one questions zoomed through my head. "Could it have been her bracelet?" "If so, how did it get here?" "What if...." I stopped and began to laugh when I thought that my dad could have been behind this stuff. It was the most silliest thing I ever thought of, but somehow I still believed it was possible..... I began to piece things together; the basement door always locked, the bracelet by the door, him acting weird, the body part by our cabin....Now I really questioned it, "Could my dad be behind this after all?"
