Hour nineteen

Time is something we all often waste. Whether it's on worrying, irrelevant things or even both, that's we waste the most. People only think about wasting materials, food and money, but I think about time. Why? Because let's face it, we don't know when time is going to run out.

Right now, instead of thinking about what is going to happen after these last 5 hours, I'm enjoying the time I have left. Grayson is interesting and spontaneous, you could say he is also mysterious, which makes me want to get him more. He came out of no where, literally, changing my mood completely.

"So you don't think Romeo and Juliet is a good movie?" Grayson askes as we sit down at a table, in a random 24 hour diner.

"Um, No!" I exclaim, letting a small chuckle escape my small red lips.

"Why?" Gray questions, surprised by my answer.

I've done Shakespeares Romeo and Juilet, four years ina row at school and now I am honestly bored of the whole story. I mean sure it cute and all, the way Romeo confesses his love to her and doesn't give up on the fact they could get married. But the ending is bad and actually kinda cheesy, the way they both die in eachothers arms. It's sad really.

"Well first of all, you can't even understand the language and second of all, what is up with Romeo, he's kinda of a pig!" I laugh, looking around the diner, minding my own business.

This time we really are the only people in here, apart from the waitress, who is currently standing by the counter. She sighs boredly, picking at her chipped red nail polish, glancing at us every so often. I quietly look up at her through my thin eyelashes, trying not to let her notice.

After a few more minutes of sighs and doing nothing in particular, she grabs her small blue notepad, with that diner logo on it and a pencil from her apprine pocket. She takes her time to walk over here, as I continue looking at through my eyelashing silently, before she stands at the edge of our table.

"You order or you have to leave" She mutters, glaring at me slightly.

I look up at her fully this time and send her a sarcastic smile, but I soon drop it as she leans on the table, showing off her chest area more and starts batting her eyelashes at Gray. Her work shorts rise up her ass as she leans away from me and more towards him. This bitch.

"Uh yea.. We don't want no trouble." Grayson says awkwardly, leaning away from her.

"Not you hun, just her." She explains, hinting towards me. I mentally roll my eyes before coughing.

"Excuse me 'hun', would you mind stepping away from my table, you reak of desperation. Also I'm not going anywhere, so I'd like to have a hot chocolate and a muffin please? Thanks." I finish, planting the sarcastic smile back on my lips.

She nod her head cautiously, before noting down what I had ordered, while I sit there amazed at my sudden burst of confidence. I have never done something like that before, ever. Honestly I don't know way I did it or where it came from.

She takes Grayson's order, smiling at him, before glaring at me one more time and left. I take a moment to watch her walk away before turning towards Gray with a smile, like nothing. He sent me a confused look. I let go of my smile and shrug.

"She was annoying you and you looked uncomfortable, so I stepped in.." I trail off, wondering if that was true or not.

"Mhm." He chuckles, nodding his head slowly, before returning back to our previous conversation. "So you don't think it was at cute?" He asks, fiddling with his thumbs.

"I mean sure, he chased after her and confessed his love for her, but apart from that it wasn't very good." I shrug, defending myself. "She had to marry another guy and her 'one true love' was banished from the city, not to mention her cousin was killed." I continue, finishing up on my opinion.

"Okay.." He murmurs, as if he is noting down what I was saying.

The waitress from earlier comes of to us, in a completely differnet mood than before and hands us our order. We both mutter a 'thank you', not bothering to look at her, while she walk away.

My eyes flutter shut as I take a sip of my warm coco, satisfied with it's taste. I open my eyes again before looking up at Grayson, who is chuckling. I give him a 'what?' look, causing him to shake is head with a smile and takes a bite of his iced doughnut.

Eventhough Grayson is very adventerous person when it comes to almost everything, he always like to enjoy a simple thing once in a while. like right now; an ice ring doughnut. I makes me smile knowing that it doesn't take much to make him happy, meaning he appreciates all the little things in life.

"Do you believe in love at first sight?" Grayson blurts out, taking a sip of his orange juice.

"Uh, I don't know. Why?" I lie, because I actually do. I mean it's happening right now with Grayson.

"I.. Uh.. Just because of Romeo and Juliet." He stutters randomly.

I shrug a little and nod my head before bitting into my choc chip muffin, getting it all over my face. We both laugh as I try to wipe it away with the napkin on my plate, but don't get it all.

"Here." Grayson suggests, leaning towards me with his hand out.

He smooths away the chocolate crumbs of my chin, causing my cheeks to turns a light pink of red. His touch still sends chills and butterflies around my body, just like before. Gray seems to have this effect on me alot lately.

He sit's back down and we continue eating in a comfortable silence. I don't bother starting another conversation, as I think about the current question on my mind.

What if this is just like Romeo and Juliet.
