"121 missed calls....wow Karls she really likes you" her younger sister remarked handing the phone back to the green eyed blonde who was currently deep in thought, she glanced at the phones dimly lit screen and scoffed "If she really liked me she wouldn't have kept us a secret from Tree" once again replaying the events of this morning for the 100th time in her head "But karlie don't you think she might have a good reason behind this don't you think?" Kimberly urged but karlie just kept quiet which the smaller girl took as a sign to continue "What if she's scared? This is the first time shes been with a girl and she doesn't have a clue on how it's supposed to work, shes not sure how she has to act around you in front of other people and I dont think even you'd like people to meet your new girlfriend considering the state you were in this morning" Karlie's cheeks reddened at the thought of what they were doing before the unexpected visit, Kimberly unaware of karlies reaction continued her rant "Shes trying ok? Shes trying for you because believe it or not she actually wants this to work and the fact that she chose you out of all the people in the world should matter because you know deep in your heart that she could've chosen some hotshot V.S model instead so instead of being an ass, call your girl and talk to her, shes probably worried sick" When the words dawned on karlies brain she wanted to smack herself for being an idiot, kimberly was right, a littke too blunt for her liking but right "God how could I be so dumb?" her heart aching at letting the older girl suffer like this. She got up in a hurry, put her shoes on and stared for the door but before leaving she impulsively gave kimberly a big hug and whispered thank you,  kimberky smiled and hugged her tighter in response. As karlie made her way to her car there was only one thing on her mind and that was to win back the heart of the blue eyed angel she loved so dearly.
Meanwhile, Taylor was a worried mess she had been trying Karlie's number since morning and still received no response. She stared at the untouched coffee mug which had gone cold hours ago, a million thoughts flooded her mind "Was karlie ok?"
"Why was she ignoring her?" ,"Was this her way of ending things with her?" but most importantly one lingering question "What had she done wrong?" She let out a frustrated sigh and sunk low into the couch in defeat while she was mourning in self pity, a ball of fur leaped up on the couch and cuddled into Taylor's side, she smiled sadly at the little creature invading her personal space, she picked up the ball of fur hugging it closely to her chest "At least you still love me Mer" she whispered, Meredith just purred softly in response.As she continued to cradle the little kitten in her arms there was a knock on the door, she checked the time 12:40, who the hell was on the other side of the door at this ungodly hour? She rested Meredith on a cushion and made her way to the door as soon as she opened it her breath got caught in her throat, she looked uo to meet the familiar green eyes which still left her in a daze but keeping a straight front she broke the silence "Karlie?! Where the hell have you been? Ive been calling since forever where were you? Do you know how worried....." her rant was cut off by a pair of soft lips pressed against her own and both of them felt the same heart warming feeling as if like their lips had joined in unison so had their hearts. Karlie was the first to pull back, she leaned her forehead against the shorter girl and whispered "I am so sorry Tay for leaving like that and ignoring you, I dont know what got into me.
I thought you were ashamed of us when you hid me from Tree but I now know I was so wrong to doubt you, I shouldn't have done that. I know your new to this and everythings a but upside down I get it. I just want you to know that I will always be here for you no matter what and I hope you understand how sorry I am" Taylor's heart melted at the green eyed girls sincere confession "Karlie you dont have to apologize, I had no idea you felt this way and I had no intention of making you think that im ashamed of us and just to prove it to you why don't we tell Tree together tomorrow? I think it's about time now" karlie thought she was going to explode with happines at Taylor's words "Tay you dont have to do that you know" Taylor took Karlie's hand in her own "Yeah but I want to, if it makes you happy I'll do anything" as soon as the words left Taylor's mouth karlie knew in that moment that it was the right time "Taylor.....I love you" when Taylor heard what Karlie said her eyes went wide and she couldn't contain the surprise which was evident by her shocked expression but she quickly recovered and crashed her lips onto Karlie's but she pulled back for a second to say "I love you too karlie, since the first moment I laid eyes on you" karlie felt relieved she thought for a moment that the whole situation had backfired but now it couldn't be better. The lovers spent the night in each others arms where they belonged.
