Part nine: home or away?

Air slapped our faces as we recklessly fell from the window. I felt so stupid, it was all my fault. If only I had kept my mouth shut and married the ghastly lad. I had no choice but to go back and beg for my mothers mercy, she wouldn't let me back over her dead body....
These thoughts circled my mind, and I'd almost forgotten the fact that I was plummeting to the ground with Alex by my side.

My back hit the ground and I fell unconscious.
Hours passed
I woke up and my whole body was aching, after all I had just fallen from a 15 ft drop. I looked over my shoulder and saw Alex, there was blood dripping from his mouth and he had a large gash on his side. "Alex! Alex wake up!" I cried, shaking his shoulder.
I knew that If the soldiers had found us we would have been killed immediately.
Which is when I noticed something. We weren't in the garden. We weren't anywhere near the castle. There were shrubs all around us and we seemed miles into the forest. I started to get scared, I could only imagine what things were out here; werewolves, centaurs, banshees. I was being ridiculous! Those things only exist in fairytales, right?
I turned to Alex and decided to let him rest, but I wasn't going to wait here for my prince to save me, I was going to do it myself! " bye, bye Alex I'll be back soon." I whispered.
I bent down and kissed him softly on the cheek, then made my way through the forest. I heard voices chattering, I don't know whether they were real or just in my head, but I was eager to find out. I followed the voices and it seemed as though I was getting closer and closer, until I reached a patch of grass. A perfect patch or grass in the middle of the forest? How odd.
I took one step and found myself flying up in the air! "AGGHHHHH!!!" I screamed at the top of my lungs. It was a trap. I was probably going to be food for wild beast living in the forest. I was upside down and my hair was dangling down and touching the mossy ground. I must have looked like a complete mess.
A few seconds passed and I heard roaring laughter emerging from the shrub land, " Melissa, WE FINALLY CAUGHT SOMETHING TO EAT!" A girl exclaimed,
" Really! Grandmother will be so pleased! We can finally have a proper meal!" The other shrieked with joy. Was I going to be food for them? I had to break free before they eat me! I grabbed the rope and pulled it to my teeth, trying to rip them apart, the clips were extremely thick. I did this for a few minutes, until I managed to get out.As I broke free, I got to my legs and threw the coils of rope beside the girls feet. They looked up and shouted," uh it just an ignorant fool," One of them exclaimed, whilst the other hadn't even stopped laughing with joy yet.what's your names?" I questioned, crossing my arms.
" I- I- I,"
The other nudged her.
" well my name is Melissa, and you are...?"
" Victoria Anne- grey,"
They both broke out with laughter.
Melissa had flaming red hair and bright blue eyes, she was beautiful. She also had bouncy curls and was wearing a black corset, a short dress and fishnet tights. Her sister on the other hand ( I guessed) had no personality traits that stood out and she looked like a poor quality version of her sister. " well ladies I have royal blood and I could make you rich, no more hunting for food, no more empty stomaches, you'll be living the dream, just think about it!" " but unfortunately, I need something in return, you see my sweetheart is injured and I need your help immediately."
They looked at each other and nodded.
" deal." They said in unison, " come on, take us to this boy, we know someone who could help," Melissa muttered, as I lead them back to Alex, my only choice was to trick  them into it, his life was on the line.
