***This is just a filler chapter, so sorry if it is a bit short***
After having that nice little chat with the boys, Hermione and I made for our cubicle, before of course stopping to tell a very sad Neville that we'd failed to find his toad. Walking back into the cubicle, we were graciously welcomed by the friends we had made. They're Katie Bell, Alicia Spinnet, Angelina Johnson, and Romilda Vane.
"What houses do you guys want to get into?" Katie asked us, as we all stood up and waited until the passing crowd left so we could also get off of the train. "Gryffindor." Everyone confirmed at the same time. "What about you, Ang?" Katie then asked me with a raised eyebrow, followed by the others looking at me, as well.
"Well, considering my whole family was either in Slytherin or Ravenclaw, I wouldn't mind being in either of them. Plus, I wouldn't want to risk being a 'Disgrace to the Lynne Name'. I also feel like I may have the personality and potential to stride in Gryffindor also. I honestly haven't thought about Huffelpuff much, but I suppose being there either wouldn't be too bad. I've heard people have a tendency to often underestimate and misunderstand the Hufflepuffs." I explain to them. They all give me a knowing look, and Hermione nods her head to me and smiles, putting a hand on my upper arm. "Best of luck to you." I laugh once to this and nod back to her, then stepping out of the cubicle and leaving the train.
We all off of the train to see, hear, a gigantic man holding a lantern. Oh yeah. I forgot to mention that it was nigh time. It would be pitch black if not for the light illuminated softly into the night air from lamp posts that line the train platform.
"Firs' years, this way!" The man shouted at us 'first years' in a friendly tone. The house prefects who held open the train car doors for us to evacuate had closed them tightly behind us. "Hagrid!" I heard a familiar voice say happily. ""Oh! 'Ello, Harry!" The ma-I mean, Hagrid said back to him. I smiled at this, though continued to walk with my friends. "Firs' years! Follow me! C'mon now!" Hagrid shouted to us, as he now was in front of our group, leading us somewhere.
We ended up getting on boats. Magical paddle-boats, without the paddles, because magic. Why not? Anywho, my little friend group had to spit into two. Hermione, Angelina, and I in one. Alicia, Romilda, and Katie in another. "This is wicked!" I say, admiring the scenery. "Woah..." Hermione and I mused in awe in unison as we saw the gigantic castle that was Hogwarts.
Once we all got out of the boats and into the castle. We walked up two or so flights of stairs, to see a woman, maybe in her mid to late 40's in a Muggle's life span, standing at the top of the stairs in a deep green, velvet robe of some sort. When we got to the top by her, that is when I spotted it.
Blonde hair. As blonde of hair as a blonde could get. Malfoy Blonde. (***That should be a legit hair color...*laughs*...) I spot his blue eyes looking around a everyone else, but he didn't see me. Well, if he had, he never made a movement to show so. Not that he'd want to...
"Everyone, quite down please. Thank you. I am Professor McGonagal. Now, you will soon be entering the Great Hall, in which you will be sorted into your houses. The houses are; Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, and Slytherin." Professor McGonagal stated, looking directly to Draco as she said the last house, then letting her glance ease over to me. Thank goodness no one noticed it.
"I am going to notify Professor Dumbledor that you are ready." She said as she walked into the Great Hall. Suddenly, a commotion arose. "So. Its true what they say on the train, then? Harry Potter, has come to Hogwarts." Draco smirked as he stood up straighter. "This is Crabbe, and that's Goyle." He pointed to the two boys behind him. Ah, those two. I remember them. Draco stood up and swaggered a bit over to Harry. "And I'm Malfoy. Draco, Malfoy." He smirked to Harry, not seeing me, whom of which was standing three people diagonal down the stairs from Harry.
Ron snickered a bit, making me smirk. "Think my name's funny, do you? No need to ask yours. Red hair, and a hand-me-down robe. You must be a Weasley." Ron sneered his eyes at Draco, and my smirk dimmed a bit. "You'll soon realize, Potter, that some wizarding families are better than others. Wouldn't want to go making friends with the wrong sort...I can help you there." Draco held his hand out to Harry.
"I wouldn't be going around telling people which family is what, Draco. It brings on a bad reputation. And I'm sure you wouldn't want that, would you?" I put a sweet smirk onto my face, and stepped onto the stair that he is on, walking through some kids to get there. "Huh?" He gasped, looking oblivious as to who I am.
"You don't remember me? Draco, its Angeline." I keep the smirk glued onto my face. "Ang...?" He asked in a smaller voice. "We'll chat later, huh?" I proposed, looking into his eyes. He nods and swallows, blinking once, his cheeks a light pink color. Harry pat my shoulder. Draco was about to walk away when Harry spoke up.
"Oh, and Malfoy? I think I can determine the wrong sort for myself, thanks." Harry states. Draco's eyes narrow the tiniest bit, as he walked back to his goons. McGonagal came back out, the doors to the Great hall opening behind her.
