Matt's Point of View
One Year Before the Present: 2038
I slammed the door. There was no way in hell that I would ever take his position. No matter what happens, that will be the one thing I can assure won't. He is crazy if he thinks I want to stay in this life."Matthew!" My father's voice boomed through the castle. I stopped in my tracks.
"What?" I screamed. I was tired of this life. I needed an out.
"Where are you going? You can't escape this." His voice was full of rage. I took a deep breath before making up my mind.
"I am leaving. I'm done here. There is nothing that I want here." I said walking up the steps. I was going to leave this country, possibly the continent. I needed to be as far as possible.
"Very well. You will be back. Take a maid and a guard." He said from downstairs. I then heard his footsteps disappear. I sighed. He actually agreed with my decision.
I grabbed my laptop and searched places to move to. Paris was tempting but still too close to home. Australia seemed nice but I don't know how I felt living on an island. The United States of America seemed the best choice. I did more research and discovered that the Queen of England is from there. She is a descendent who lived there before becoming queen. I did more research on the Kingsley family and realized they lived somewhere in Miami.
"Hello Matt. Your father would like to know where we are moving to." Grace the maid said. I looked at her. She was young and sweet. She was one of the few people within this castle that I could tolerate.
"Florida, USA." I told her. She nodded before leaving my room. I quickly shut my laptop off and began to pack everything up. Today would be my last time here.

I grabbed my backpack and took a look around my room. It was the last time i'd ever be here. There was no way I was ever coming back. Nothing would ever pull me back here again. Nothing. I hated it here. Nothing ever good came from a place like this.
I stepped out, only to be stopped by my father. I ignored him and walked down the stairs. I took another look around what used to be my home. I was ready to leave this life behind.
"Be safe." My dad said. I nodded. I turned away from him. I didn't want to speak to him anymore. I wanted to get out of here as soon as possible. I was done. My father was done with me and I was done with him. I had no reason to stay here. I hated it. I was so happy to leave this life and forget about it all.
"Bye." I said slamming the front door to the castle.
I was flying to America, Florida specifically, and going to school like a regular teenager. No more homeschooling and no more tutors. Dad will have no say over me. I'll be on my own. Finally. Well, i'll still have a maid and a guard with me. They'll act as my legal guardians when needed. If not, i'll be my own boss. I am finally going to be able to be me. No more royalty. Only me, living my own dämn life. It was about fûcking time.
"Sir, your flight leaves in an hour." My guard said. He was standing outside, near the limo. I nodded before getting into the limo, hopefully for the very last time in my life.

I stood in the middle of the master bedroom. It was my new room. There was a flat screen tv hanging on the wall and a black couch on the other. My bed was in the middle of the room with black covers. There was a walk-in closet and a bathroom with a tub and shower. It wasn't as big as the one in the castle I was forced to grow up in, but it was just fine. It was perfect for my new life.
