The loudness of the crowd was heard as us Bulldogs ran onto the field. They were going wild. Transmitting their adrenaline and excitement on to us. It only made me more ready for this game. We were taking home the trophy.

It was the championship game and we were in it. We had beat the Rattlesnakes last week, barely winning with a field goal. They were a tough team, but we were better. Hayden and I were better.

We were playing the Satellite Beach Dolphins. They were number one in the state. They were going to be a tough team to beat, but we were going to do it. We are not going home without the win.

Hayden and I ran to the middle of the field with the referee. We were flipping the coin. This one thing was going to decide the fate of how the game goes. It was up to us to make it in our favor.

"Home team chooses." The referee said. The coin flipped in the air. We were playing on our home field, giving us an advantage.

"Heads." Hayden called out. The coin showed the head when it landed on the ground. I felt my smirk grow on my face. There was no way we were losing this game.

"Kick or receive Bulldogs?" The referee asked us. The other team's captain waited for our decision. Their frowns growing by the second.

"We will receive." I said. The referee nodded. Hayden and I took that as our cue. We ran towards the sidelines, ready for the game to begin.

"We're receiving." I shouted to Coach. He nodded before he started shouting things. I grabbed my helmet from off the bench and started running to my position. It was game time baby.

-

I watched from the sidelines as the other team tried to get two extra points. They failed miserably. Our defense stopped the ball from moving passed the five yard line.

We were losing 48-46 with them. I wasn't too worried about the score. We had plenty of time left to score and be ahead. We were not losing this game.

I ran onto the field, ready to go. I got into my position, bending down. I heard Hayden yell hut, igniting my adrenaline.

I ran towards the in-zone, a few feet from it. I turned, getting my defender off. I continued to move away from him, but close enough to be able to run into the in-zone.

I watched as Hayden stepped back and shot a cannon. The ball was coming straight to me. I faked a left, going right. I continued to run until my defender was nowhere near me, but I was still in scoring position.

I could hear the crowd growing wild, but all I could really hear was the smack of the pads. I looked up and saw the ball a few feet away from me in the air. I easily caught it, securing the ball in my hands as I was tackled to the floor. Even under a few players, I was still able to hear the crowd going wild.

"Touchdown Bulldogs!" The announcer said, adding to the excitement. I smirked as I jogged my way off the field. There was no way we were losing this game. We only needed the extra point for the win.

I watched our kicker run onto the field as I ran to the sidelines. I took my helmet off, wanting to watch the end of the game. He got set on the field before calling hut.

The nose set the ball up. The kicker kicked it. The ball flew over everyone's heads, straight in between the two yellow poles. The crowd, the entire stadium went silent as it flew.

"And the Bulldogs win it!" The announcer said as the ball flew in between the poles. Our fans screamed. I widened my eyes as I came to the realization of what had just occurred.

We won. We actually won. The Bulldogs won the championship. We were the best in the state. We have proved everyone wrong. We were champions and it was unbelievable.
