...what they saw amazed them. The world seemed to be collapsing right in front of their very eyes. Terrifying, that's what it was, to the two unfortunate souls that stood right in the middle of it. Shaina whipped around, trying to seek some other path out of the wasteland they just entered, but their pathway here had disappeared.

Work of the illusions, she soon realized, but had no more room to think as the battle that was being waged within the city had taken notice of the two teenagers standing right in the middle of it.

"We have to find somewhere to hide, now!" Drake managed to shout over all the chaos, urging the two into motion, right as an explosion rocked the ground next to them.

"I agree!" Shaina called back, wrapping her fingers around his as they ran for a nearby mound of rubble. Diving behind it and finding themselves temporarily out of the line of fire, the two had a moment to breathe and recollect their thoughts.

"Out of the frying pan and onto the stove, eh?" Drake manages to mumble out, wincing at the scorching heat that scathes the battleground and the unfortunate specimens that wage war on it.

"Yeah, we need to get out of here. Find another Illusion and hope it takes us somewhere... less worse than this war zone..." Shaina gasps back, trying to regulate her breathing so that her head might once again become level and clear.

"You're right... whe-" Drake doesn't get to finish his sentence before another Alice-in-wonderland-like hole opens up beneath the two and they plummet into it, like baby birds leaving the nest for the first time. They're both completely surprised by the sudden change. Shaina only glimpses the mouth of the hole they've fallen into before, and...
