Hee Ku sighed heavily. Behind that door was the man who was the primary suspect of killing her best friend. Maybe...her only true friend. Honestly, she didn't really know what she was feeling: she had anger and, at the same time, sadness. She just didn't know how to deal with that...Keep yourself together! She slapped her cheeks. Yoon Ji... why things have to be this way?
She opened the door and saw the BTS members waiting for her...
"I'm sorry...only one per time. The interview must be private"
"Everything is going to be fine, Jungkook...we know you didn't do it...", Rap Monster reassured him tapping on his shoulder before leaving. Jungkook was clearly nervous and couldn't understand what was happening around him well, once the shocking news still inspire his thoughts to run wild...
"You are Jeon Jungkook, right?"- she asked as they sat on the table facing each other. Hee Ku clearly didn't enjoy the idea of being in the same room as her friend's ex, but this would be a way of getting to know the truth behind Yoon Ji death.
"What...? Oh...yes, yes..."
"What exactly was your relationship with Kim Yoon Ji?"- she knew the answer but...she wanted to see how sincere he would be...in fact, it was strange because Yoon Ji was always talking about him but that was the first time they were seeing each other. The friend wouldn't say the boyfriend's name since they agreed it was for the best to keep the fact they were dating a secret. No wonder why she did that: BTS was all over the news and their popularity was something out of this world. Hee Ku kept wondering how they met each other to begin with...she had the impression that the late friend had told her some time ago, but she couldn't recall...
"Kim Yoon Ji was my ex-girlfriend..."
"And how was your relationship with her? Good terms, bad terms? Did you fight a lot?"
"Well...we broke up in good terms and, during the relationship, there weren't many fights between us..."
"You are lying..."-she whispered unconsciously.
"What did you say?"- he stared her eyes trying to understand what was going on...
"Nothing...I was mumbling to myself a bit...it's an habit of mine...a really annoying one to be precise...sorry for that. Jungkook-ssi could you tell me where you were on the night of the murder?"
"I was doing some shopping"
"Were you alone?"
"Yes. It was my first day off in ages..."
"Do you have a recipe to prove your alibi? Anything that shows that you were in the shopping will do..."
'No...I'm sorry...I don't keep those..."
Hee Ku looked at her back, making sure that no one was near by, and closed the door. The cameras were turned off. She became more serious then before.
"Now, Jungkook-ssi...you know that everything said between you and your lawyer is confidential, right?"
"Yes"
"So, If I'm the one of the persons who are going to represent you in the Court, then I need you to tell me the truth: did you, by any means, kill Kim Yoon Ji? This will direct my work...I beg you to be honest with me..."
"No, I didn't do it...do you think I did it?"
"For me it's too early to make any statement. We don't have any proofs that confirm that you are innocent neither that you aren't..."
"I meant...your personal opinion...I want you to be sincere with me too..."
Hee Ku finally left all the notes and paperwork, staring directly his eyes. She could sense a frustration in his eyes, but his features could barely show it...he wanted to keep the image of a cool guy...
"Yes...I think you did it"
He gave her a nervous side smile...
"What's your name again?"
"Yun Hee Ku..."-she sighed. She knew it was her response by impulse that would make the client go away...she couldn't keep all her anger to herself...damn it! Could she be more stupid?! She packed her things and were about to leave when Jungkook reached out for her arm...
"Where are you going?"
"I believe that you wouldn't hire a person who doubts about you innocence in the case. It was a pleasure to meet you in person...sorry for all the trouble..."-he wouldn't let my arm go...
"Is there something else I could help you with?"
"Hee Ku-ssi, you are the very first person in the law area who is sincere with me. It will be a pleasure to work with you"
She was surprised.
"Sure..."
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Hyun Su Goh?"
"Yes?"
"The girl's name is Kim Yoon Ji, right? The deceased?"
"Yes, that's it. Did you find something about her?"
"I think I've just found out something very interesting..."
The man on the other side of the line leaned closer to the corpse with the flash light...opening the body's uterus...there was a fetus in the early stages...
