Kara's POV

So far, so good. The morning classes I had were okay, I already had met one person which is Lucifer, so I guess it's a pretty okay start in this new school.

I entered the canteen holding a tray of food in my hands, looking for an empty spot to sit on. I found an empty table on the far back corner so I made my way there.

I was caught off guard when I suddenly lost my balance and tripped on something, spilling the drink I ordered all over the floor and some of my food. I looked behind me and that a group of guys started laughing at me while some of the other students remained silent and watched what happened.

Okay, what's their problem?

I stared at them for a while. What's funny?

In the end, I decided to just ignore them. I'll just buy another drink. It's probably not worth it talking back to them, anyway.

I continued walking forward to the table I spotted but someone was already there. Aww, darn it. Maybe the person can share seats with me?

I suddenly felt a sharp push on my elbow. I accidentally let go of the tray and it flew in front of me, toppling over mid-air and completely wasting the food I ordered.

Okay, calm down.

I ignored it again and contimued walking when someone grabbed me and turned me around.

"Not so fast, miss," one of the guys who tripped me earlier said and smiled deviously at me. All of the students in the cafeteria were now watching us because of the commotion.

"What's your problem?" I asked and swatted his hand away. His friends started making some absurd noises like they were howling or something.

"You," he said and I raised my left eyebrow at him. Seriously? Is he out of his tiny mind?

"Me? I'm not doing anything-"

"HEY!" I jumped in my place when someone suddenly shouted loudly. I looked at where the voice came from and saw the short tempered boy from earlier this morning looking at us and standing in front of his seat. He was with Lucifer.

They're friends?

"Leave her the fuck alone," I winced a bit when he cursed loudly and even emphasized the f word. I'm not used to hear people saying bad words. They're not allowed at our house and mom says it's bad.

"Ohh, watcha gonna do about it?" one boy challenged him.

His expression got dark and his eyes were scary. "I'm gonna beat the shit out of all of you if you don't stop that," I flinched when he cursed again.

He started walking towards us and I saw some of the boys jumped up from their seats, like they were ready to run or something.

"Ow!" I yelped when the boy suddenly grabbed my elbow harshly, his bony fingers squeeziny my arm. He pushed me to his side and pulled out a notepad and started writing something down on it.

"You assholes come with me to the principal," he said.

Can't he talk without cursing?

"What if we don't want to?" The guy who pulled my elbow earlier taunted him.

The boy gave them a deadly stare. "I will make a wish that the killer will hunt you tonight," he said and smirked malevolently.

The other students gasped while some remained confused like me. Killer? What killer? What is he talking about?

The group of boys looked scared as I saw their faces paled. The boy chuckled and turned to me, then pushed me forward into the direction of the table he was at earlier.

Okay, why am I always getting pushed around?

"Go to him," he said and pointed at Lucifer who was silently watching us from their table. I huffed and walked away, glancing behind to see him ushering the boys out the cafeteria.

"Hey, you okay? Sorry about that, there are really some students here that have some attitude problems and so," Lucifer asked as I sat down.

"Yeah, thanks for asking," I said and looked at him. "How did you end up with someone like him?"

Lucifer just laughed quietly with my question. "Long story, but it's okay, Dominic's a fine person, you know? He's just really cold and all but you'll get used to him once you hang around with him a few times," he said.

"His name is Dominic?" I asked ans he nodded, biting down on hia burger. Aww, I'm hungry too.

Lucifer chewed down his food before speaking. "Yeah, he's the student council president and the son of the former principal,"

"Oh, really?" I asked. No wonder he seemed so authoritative and arrogant earlier.

Lucifer nodded again and took a sip on his drink. He leaned back on his chair and looked at me. "Uhm, what do you want? I'll treat you some food," he said and took out his wallet from his pants back pocket.

"No! It's okay, I have my own money," I said and held his arm.

"No its fine, I insist. What do you want?" He asked me and I looked at him. Is he for real?

"Are you serious?" I asked.

"Yes, yes I am," he nodded and smiled. Why is he so kind? I never knew people like him still existed in this world nowadays.

"Uhm, mac & cheese and some water," I said. Lucifer nodded and stood up, walking to the canteen. I kept watching him as he fell in line and waited for his turn to order.

After a while he came back holding a tray of what I ordered. He placed it in front of me.

"Thank you very much, you're so kind," I said and smiled at him. He smiled back, showing me his set of pearly white teeth.

"It's okay, you're welcome. Dig in," he said. I began to eat while he pulled out the book he was reading earlier and began reading it again.

By the time I finished eating, Dominic returned to the table and sat down then started eating his food without saying a word.

"What happened?" Lucifer asked him. Then I suddenly remembered what he said earlier, about the killer. Should I ask them?

"Got into detention," he said and chuckled, shaking his head.

I cleared my throat and they both looked at me. "By the way.. What was that you said earlier about a killer or something? What was that?" I asked.

"Oh, uhm-"

"That's nothing, I was just scaring them," Dominic said, cutting off Lucifer. I looked at him for awhile. Why would he scare somebody by saying that he wishes a killer would hunt them down? I mean, that's just too mean and bad. I think that's too much to say just to scare someone.
