Kara's POV

I squinted my eyes open and looked at the white ceiling above me. The smell of disinfectants wafted to my nose and I suddenly knew I was in the clinic.

I sat up straight and looked around. What happened to me? I don't remember getting into an accident or getting harmed at all. What am I doing here?

I looked down on my lap and tried to recall anything that might help me understand how I ended up here. But all I got from my brain were the memories from this morning. It was like there was a gap in what I was recalling.

But I do remember being with Dominic. Maybe he knows why I'm here? I should probably go and ask him.

I got off the edge of the bed and stood up. I walked outside the ward that I was in and walked to the nurse at the front desk. According to her, Dominic was indeed the one who brought me here. She then allowed me to go out and I exited the clinic and went to the main building of the school.

I checked my watch. It's almost dismissal time. So I've been out for what, like, a few hours? What the heck happened to me?

Still confused, I walked forward and tried to look for Dominic or maybe Lucifer. I peeked through the glass windows on the doors of the classrooms hoping to find them or either of them.

"What're you doing here?" I jumped when I heard someone speak. I froze in my tracks and tuened around to look behind me. I saw Dominic standing a few feet away from me, his arms folded behind his back.

"Shouldn't you be in class?" I asked him as he stepped forward to lessen the gap between us.

"I should be, but I got kicked out," he said and I nodded. I'm not even gonna ask why he got kicked out of the class. He was probably sleeping again or something.

"Why are you already here? Are you okay now?" He asked and looked down on me. I looked up to him and stared into his sky blue eyes.

"What happened to me, anyways?" I asked him as my forehead creased.

"You fainted," he said and I looked at him. "The nurse said that you were overworking yourself."

My forehead creased. "But... I'm getting enough rest," I told him.

"Maybe that's what you were thinking. Come, let's go somewhere else," he said and took my hand in his and started dragging me away.

"W-what? Wait, where are we going?" I held his wrist and he stopped dragging me.

"Outside the school," he shortly replied and continued dragging me along. What? But the school hours isn't done yet!

"We can't, the guard won't let us!" I said and he turned his head to give me a sharp look.

"Stop talking and just follow me, okay?" he snapped and I shut my mouth. Geez. Why is he so bossy?

When we got to the main gate I was ready to tell him that whatever he was planning to do to get us pass the gate isn't gonna work. But to my dismay, the guard actually let us pass after Dominic brought him to the side and talked to him. What? I can't believe he's letting us out before dismissal time!

Dominic went to me and grabbed my hand and started dragging me again. I kept following him and saw that we were heading to the parking lot. He brought me to his car and brought out his keys.

He unlocked the car and told me to go inside. I opened the door to the passenger seat and was shocked when I saw another man in the driver's seat. Who is this man?
