I wake up to the sound of my alarm again, and groan as I roll to turn it off. I open my curtains sleepily and wince as the light enters my room. I go to the bathroom to change and wash my face. I get my books for the day after checking my schedule and grab an apple for breakfast again.
Youngjin and Taemin are sat at the table, neither look awake, and Taemin is resting his head on the table whilst trying to eat his cereal."Morning boys!" I sing as I walk past them, trying to hide my tiredness. They mumble good morning, and I say goodbye to my mother before heading out the door with my backpack. I begin to walk down the path, just as Jimin opens his door.
"Y/N-ah wait up!" he calls as he jogs to me. He smiles as he greets me, and we begin to walk to Yuri's house together.
"How did you sleep?" Jimin asks me as I knock on Yuri's door.
"Good I guess, I'm so tired though." I reply, as Yuri opens the door.
"Hey Y/N! Oh hey Jimin, what are you doing here?" she smiles as she greets us.
"I'm Y/N's neighbor now." Jimin explains as Yuri closes the door behind her. She nods and we walk to the bus stop together. The bus finally arrives and we get on, I sit next to Yuri and Jimin sits in the seat across the isle. Jimin tells us that all the other guys (they told me to call them Bangtan collectively) live near Taehyung, so they all get a different bus to school.
The bus stops and we get off, meeting the rest of Bangtan at the gates and heading to class. The first four classes pass painfully slow, and when the lunch bell finally rings I stand from my seat and stretch."Thank the freaking Lord." I say. I hear someone chuckle behind me and feel a hand on my shoulder. It's Jungkook.
"That took forever." he says, and I nod in agreement. He guides me to the door with his hand still on my shoulder.
Bangtan, Yuri and I sit together in the canteen, joking and laughing. Jimin and Jungkook whisper things in my ear which I don't quite catch and suddenly Taehyung stands up and slams his hand down on the table. Half the canteen goes quiet and I look at the guys. Their eyes follow Taehyung as he walks out before turning to me."What?" I ask, they all shrug.
"Maybe you should follow him?" Jin suggests. I bite my lip, wondering if that would be a good idea or not. Jimin watches me intently as I begin to stand up, but I stop myself.
"I have no idea where he would be.." I begin. Jungkook speaks up.
"Well we're still new here, Hyung probably got lost.. Maybe you should go find him." he says, gesturing towards the door. I nod slowly, then stand and leave the canteen. I look up and down the hall outside and sigh. The school is huge, where would he have gone? I sigh, trying to remember what Taehyung had told me that day at the pool. He likes singing...
I make my way towards the music rooms, but upon peering in through the small windows I find that they are all empty except one, which has a couple making out. I cringe and step away from the door. I try to think again.. Maybe the basketball courts?
I hurry there, but again I find it completely deserted. I'm out of ideas, and I sit on the bleachers with my head in my hands, allowing the breeze throw my hair about. Then I hear it. A voice on the wind."I need you girl, Wae honja saranghago honjaseoman ibyeolhae..."
I know it's him, and I search for where the voice is coming from. Then I see the figure on the roof, and my stomach turns. I leap from the bleachers and run inside, wondering how he even found the staircase to the roof, as a lot of the students who have been here for years don't know about it. But that doesn't really matter right now, and finally, panting, I reach the roof. I open the door quietly as not to disturb him. I don't know why I was so worried. Perhaps I was scared he would fall... Or jump... But I don't see what reason he would have to do that. I realise now, that he is quite far from the edge, and I calm down a little. I listen to him sing for a while, before deciding that maybe I should say something. I take a step forward, closing the door to the roof and making it audible. Taehyung whips around and his brow furrows as he sees me. He turns away from me and stares out across the school yard. I walk to him.
"Why did you leave so suddenly?" I ask. He ignores me. I try again.
"Are you ok?"
Still nothing."Taehyung? Please say something.."
Finally he turns to me."Go away." and he's back to glaring again. I don't know what I was expecting, but I feel my heart sink a little lower in my chest.
"Tae-" I begin, but he cuts me off, pushing me backwards into the door and holding his head so close to mine that I can feel his hot breath on my cheek. He looks me in the eye.
"I said, go away!" he shouts. He looks properly furious, and I wince at his words. What have I done so wrong? He pulls me away from the door, opening it for me and pushing me to the stairs. He slams the door in my face. Through the small window I watch him walk back to the edge of the roof. He sits down with his legs hanging off the side of the building, and buries his head in his hands. I guess I really annoyed him...
I feel my eyes prick a little, but shake my head furiously and running back down the stairs.
