"I won't be late, I promise!" Laurie said in an almost please-do-not-leave-and-wait-for-me-for-2-hours tone.
"Actually, you know what, we'll do this another time. I'm so sorry I'm a pain in the-"
"Language! You're still 16, you know." I said as she growled.
"Fineeee! We can reschedule for next Saturday, if that's okay."
"Sure! Bye, love you!" I said as I ended the call. This means I'll have more time with Mani, I hope she hasn't scheduled anything else. As I think through this, my phone beeps.
Mani: Heyy!!
Val: hey baby girl! what's up
Mani: Nothing much, just sorta bored.
Val: same, honestly.
Mani: I thought you were having lunch?
Val: it got rescheduled for next week, so i'm kinda just wondering what to do.
Mani: Oh so you're free?
Val: yup!
Mani: Okay then, wanna come over?
Val: of course.
Mani: I'm at *insert address here* , text me when you arrive so I could open the gate.
Val: got it! on my way.

Normani's POV
"YAS NORMANI KORDEI, QUEEN OF MAKING MOVES! MOVE YO BASIC ASSES OUT THE WAY BECAUSE QUEEN OF DATES MANI IS HERE!" I say to myself while alone in my house. Sad, isn't it? Well, not anymore! I start cleaning up and fixing stuff around to make myself not look like a messy hag. Suddenly, I get a DM on Twitter.

@Camila_Cabello: great! how are the girls?
@NormaniKordei: They're good.
@Camila_Cabello: yay! I just wanted to wish you good luck on Dancing With The Stars! val is a great partner, you'll have a great time!

@Camila_Cabello: you tweeted about it, lol.
@NormaniKordei: Oh, I think it was management then.
@Camila_Cabello: damn, i forgot about that. hasn't happened to me for a year.
