"Because I'm in love with you!"

It's been two weeks since I had openly declared my feeling to Catalina and myself that day once hell came crashing down into paradise,

The air was warm and muggy but with a slight breeze that invaded my home from the open window while music was pulsating out from the building; its exterior seeming to vibrate disturbing the peaceful summer night as a few friends came to celebrate my 18th birthday early. My eyes scanned the room as I was posted at the kitchen Island wearing my favorite pair of black skinny jeans that complimented my tone legs that seemed longer by the open toed heels I was wearing as my olive skin and blue eyes were enhanced by the gray crop top, showing off my abs

"Guess who" spoke a familiar sweet raspy voice that whispered in my ear whose hands covered my eyes.

"No need to. Catalina Evans as I live and breath." I smirked removing the soft petite hands that blinded my sight, turning around unable to with hold the smile that cracked my lips; I haven't seen or spoken to Catalina in weeks, not since she found out about the bet between Danton and I after we had made love that night. Last I had heard the rumor was she and her parents had taken off to Peru to visit family and part of me felt scared that Catalina wouldn't come back into my life after everything that happened and that same half understood; I wouldn't even want to look at me ever again too.

"Every so charming Lara. You know it would have been nice to be invited. I feel so rude for crashing." She smiled back, there was something different about her, what it was I had no clue but it sent a chill along my spine.

"I didn't know you were back in the state's or I would have personally hand delivered your invite Kitten." I smiled catching a small light shade of blush skim across the Latina's flawless caramel complexion. The sound of a throat clearing broke the hypnotic trance I was lost in while starring into Catalina's eyes. After weeks apart I forgot how breathtaking they were. "Oh I'm so sorry. Forgive my rudeness. Catalina this is Rose, she's a friend. "I spoke introducing the blonde I was previously conversating with,"Rose this-"

"Catalina Evan. I've heard so much about you from Lara." Rose spoke extending a friendly hand.

"Wish I could say the same." She repiled. I was a bit taken by the rude and snarky tone in Catalina's respond. She was normally such a sweetheart.

"So Cat can I get you anything?" I asked trying to break the slowly growing silence.

Catalina pealed her eyes off of Rose before scanning up and down my body; I felt chills run along my spine when her eyes locked with mine. Moving in closer Catalina placed one hand behind my neck and the other on my collar bone.

"Dance with me" She whispered, her lips dangerously close to mine that it would take no effort at all to lean in to kiss her.

"Cat-"

"Lara."My name was practically moaned out as it passed by Catalina's lips and her fingers tangled themselves in the hairs at the nape of my neck. I was speechless. Before I could even fathom a response my fingers where intertwined with Catalina's as she led me to the dance floor.

The music was introduced from the speakers as Catalina and I found our away to the center of the dance floor. A bit of anxiety bubbled in my stomach mixed with a bit of excitement;having Catalina so close was very arousing that I momentarily forgot about the half a dozen people in the building.

The looks folding their expressions and what could possibly be running through their minds, a quick fear washed over me as I remembered how long it took to kill the 'Cara' rumors that were spread about town when Catalina and I first started getting 'involved' yet Catalina didn't seem to care. Her arms around my neck as mine sat on her hips that swayed in a sensual yet sexy way as they moved along my right leg to the beat of the song.
