"Slow down will you" said Yuuri as he bent down panting behind Viktor, "come on it's only a few more miles" said Viktor. Yuuri breathed in and out heavily, the cold winter air feeling as though it had frozen his hands stiff.
"Why'd you bring me all the way out here anyway?" Asked Yuuri catching back up with Viktor, Viktor smiled "you'll see" he said winking at Yuuri, and Yuuri grinned. He loved it when Viktor gave him that mischievous smile.
Viktor stopped at the bottom of a very long staircase up in the park, it was one of those huge parks in the middle of St PetersBurg with statues and waterfalls and a sign that said 'please don't walk on the grass'.
Yuuri had never been to this part of Russia before, it was a very beautiful park. The trees were tall and strong with thousands of leaves bursting with snowy colors, the water fall was gushing out clear water that had the night sky's reflection on it.
"Wow" whispered Yuuri looking up to see millions of bright silver stars, "and that's it" said Viktor giving him that same smile that Yuuri loved. "That's what I wanted to show you" he said glancing up at the star filled sky.
"That's amazing" said Yuuri awe struck "we never had night sky's like this back in Hasetsu" he said still not looking away from the bright stars. Viktor took hold of Yuuri's hands pulling him into a hug.
Yuuri smiled at the warm embracement of his fiancé, "it's just been a while since we could have some time alone together like this" said Viktor, Yuuri smiled in agreement. It had been a while since they'd gotten the chance to be alone together.
What with all the interviews they had to attend, and meet ups with other skaters, and photo shoots for upcoming magazines and even doing opening performances at local rinks for smaller competitions. It really had been a while.
Their lips made contact, and they both relaxed at the feeling of each other. Viktor began to lightly bite along Yuuri's lips playfully, and Yuuri kissed deeper into Viktor's soft lips.
They broke the kiss for a second and looked at each other laughing a little bit, "let's go home" Yuuri whispered in Viktor's ear. Viktor smiled, the pair of them started to walk back down to their shared apartment.
"We don't have anything planned tomorrow do we?" Asked Viktor. "Not that I can think of" said Yuuri putting his hands in his coat pocket to try and stay a bit warmer. They came to the side walk and stopped, Yuuri was first to step out on to the road. Viktor close behind him,
Then Yuuri heard Viktor shout and looked to his side to see a car coming towards him at full speed, he couldn't even react. In all the films he'd ever seen where something like this had happened, he always thought the characters would just jump aside quickly.
But Yuuri was so frozen with fear that he couldn't move, quite literally paralyzed with fear. He felt Viktor's hands push against him as Viktor pushed Yuuri to the side away from the car, Yuuri fell against the side walk and gathered himself a little before getting back up.
He heard a sickening crack sound, and cringed at the noise. He look up to see the same car driving off quickly, Yuuri looked to his side afraid. His Viktor, his precious beloved Viktor, his Viktor whom he loved more than anyone, his Viktor, his soul mate, his lover, his fiancé;
Lying on the floor, not moving, in a pool of his own blood, legs bent in ways legs definitely shouldn't, was his Viktor.
A hit and run, that was what just happened
