Chapter One Trailer

She stared at the cold windowpane and watched softly as the drips of rain spattered on the window. Drops of rain fell on her too, but in the shape of a tear. Because it was a tear. And nothing could change that.

In the morning the sky had turned from a dark and gray abyss to a light blue ocean. It had a rainbow too. She would want it. She did want it. She wanted to catch it. She wanted...

A change.

But she would not get it. Wishes don't come true after all. Neither do dreams. Her life is dull and boring as is so why add another boring thing to it? She wanted excitement. Love, compassion, confidence, leadership, sisterhood, loyalty, and a life. She couldn't get it. It's not in her destiny or her prophecy.

She fled the house and followed the rainbow. That was the change she tried for. The stupid change. She thought that a simple, non-realistic fantasy, rainbow could fix her problems. She thought of the cauldron and the golden coins along with it. She would be showered in riches, literally.

But no.

It wasn't there. No riches. No pot. She reached the end of the rainbow, or was it the end? Maybe it was the start. The only thing at this end or start was a few caterpillars and butterflies. But that's not what she wanted. She wanted a change. Not a few bugs. She kicked the dirt and sat down on a stump.
