The cool night breeze came through the windows, causing the sleeping Serena to shoot up. Her mind was racing with all the images from her dream, tears flowing out her eyes.
There was a strange sound coming from the closed windows, almost like somebody was trying to break into her room. Then all at once the window door flew open, Serena held her breath waiting for the intruder to enter. The person took a step inside and she gasp, tears filled her eyes realizing the person who entered her window was not a robber or murderer, it was Lucas; her true love.
He walked further into the room and towards her, Serena heartbeat was picking up, it just a dream she told herself. Stopping at the foot of her bed Lucas gave her a heartwarming smile; he also, had tears in his eyes. His ghost like form was beautiful with a glow to him. His white long-sleeve shirt matched his white pants.
"I love you" her breath was shaky once she said that. Lucas just looked at her lovingly but turns and walked out the bedroom. Quickly chucking the sheets off Serena followed Lucas silently, still not believing her eyes she kept her eyes on him accidently knocking the vase of roses in the hallway. The vase broke into pieces and the roses scattered everywhere, Serena didn't look back to what had happen. Going down the stairs Lucas disappeared. Serena went into the lounge room looking around for him.
"Lucas" she continued to call out for him. The window in the room blew open and a gush of fresh air came through. Slowly walking towards the window she saw Lucas figure outside the balcony. His eyes met hers and the air in her seemed to vanish. Those brown eyes always captivated her and she loved it, she wanted to hug and kiss him so much, but there was a question she needed to ask first.
"Alma. How is she? How's my baby girl doing up in heaven?" She asked for Alma, their four year old daughter. Just thinking about Alma made her wanna brawl out in tears. The night of the accident where Lucas and Alma died had shattered Serena's life forever. They had collided with a bus full of people and they had died in one go.
"Our little angel is fine" it was the first time Lucas had spoken since he came. Serena tears finally came out hearing his voice. 'My love' she thought. "Serena, I came to tell you something about Gabriel. You have to get him." Gabriel? Serena froze at the thought of him. Her heart broke a little more as she thought of the mistake of giving him away.
"What happen to him Lucas?" coming face to face Lucas stop a few inches away from her ear. His breath trickled her skin giving goose bumps.
"His in danger, baby. Go get him" Lucas had now looked into her eyes and saw the tears running down those beautiful cheeks of hers "I love you" reaching out he touched her face, Serena leaned into his touch and nodded her head. Leaning down he kissed her soft lips.
Pulling back Serena saw tears running down his face as well "Don't go" she grabbed onto his arms "Please, I love you"
"I love you too, but I need to be with Alma" Serena nodded and gave him one last kiss.
"Tell Alma I love her" Serena didn't get the chance to ask what kind of danger was in, but this dream wasn't real...
"Gabriel is the only thing you have left in this world" then he was gone.
"Serena, breakfast is ready!" Tasha, her grandmother called out. Ever since the accident, Serena couldn't live by herself. Moving into with her Grandma was what everyone thought would be best. Jumping out of bed Serena quickly moved into the bathroom to wash her teeth and rinse her face. Going back into the room she fixed her bed. Serena put a small sweater on and went downstairs; walking in the hallway she winces in pain.
"Ouch." Looking down to see what had cut the sole of her foot, Serena froze. Her grandma obviously hasn't come past this because Tasha room was downstairs. It was just a dream with Lucas, but it was just a dream, why was the glass and roses scattered everywhere on the floor. The windows in her bedroom were open as well but she had closed it the night before and hadn't thought anything of it until now. Running downstairs she looked at the living room window and sure enough it was wide open.
"Grandma, did you open the windows this morning?" Serena asked curiously.
"No, I just woke up and got breakfast ready" Tasha replied in a slow tone.
So the dream was real. It was real and Serena couldn't gather her thoughts Lucas, Alma and Gabriel came rushing to her head but one caught "Gabriel" she let out in a shaky tone my poor baby is in danger and I need to get him.
