The A.R.C. consists of eight livable dormitories built out of concrete. The dorms are in the shape of squared hour glasses. The center is the living quarters. Ten dorm rooms on either side of the hallway, each door slightly off center so youth could not directly look into the dorm across from their own. Every room is modeled the same which includes a bed, toilet, sink a sun roof ceiling and the four wall's corners merge leading to an iron door with a magnet lock attached to lockdown youth as needed or lights out during bedtime. There is a small two way window positioned shoulder level on each door so staff can periodically check on the youth or as needed. At one of the ends of the hallway is a community shower area. Only half,10, of the youth are permitted into the shower area at a time. All youth are given the opportunity to shower once daily as a group. There are 10 partitioned shower stations. From ground to ceiling three walls surround each shower station as not to allow other youth any opportunity to violate another's privacy. In the front is a transparent curtain so staffers could be aware of the youth assuring they are only conducting their hygiene and not violating themselves. At no other time are the youth allowed into the shower area. There is an emergency exit in case of an emergency which youth have tried to run out of in past cases to escape the A.R.C. Never are the youth be alone there.
On the other end of the hallway which also is the entrance to the dorm, is the common area. The common area is used to set up for meal times, youth prepare their own meals. There is kitchenette with a stove and all other cooking utensils, which are locked in cabinets but there for their convenience. There are four aluminum bench tables set in the center room where the youth dine and conduct all group activities they may have. E.g., school, group program meeting, game time..etc.
The eight dormitories are divided, running four parallel to the other four. There are four female dorms to one side and four male dorms on the other. In the center courtyard of the dorms lay the Civic building for the staffers. This is where the A.R.C.'s leadership and secretarial offices are. This is also where staff meetings, training, breaks, youth visits and all other business pertaining to the A.R.C. are maintained. The youth are not allowed in this area without staffers permission and escort. At one end of the center courtyard is a parking area for staffers and guest to the facility.
On the adjacent end of the courtyard lays the school for the youth. In recent years it had been shut down due to a youth riot there which ended the life of one of the youth involved. After the incident, it was decided by head leadership of the A.R.C. that it would be better for the teachers to attend each dorm for their scheduled class periods. This further isolating the youth in different dorms from being around each other.
On both the rear side of the dorms on the male and female sides, lays an open field. The fields can easily be converted to set up for activities for the youth pending the staffers decision.
The whole A.R.C. lays on a large grassy plain. This makes it easy to designate when you weren't on A.R.C. property. Just on the other side of the grassy property is the beginning of a rocky dirty outskirt which stretched over a mile of nothing in any given direction. Only the paved dirt covered road leading to the parking area from the nearest town give the youth any sense of civilization outside the A.R.C. The youth never leave the property until they are fully released from the facility once they are transported in.
Here comes the A.R.C.'s newest transport now. It can be seen and heard the white government van was traveling at high speeds from the sounds of the revved up engine and the amount of dirt being shot from under the spinning tires.
