Artemis walked down the street, her hands in her pockets and her head held low. It was winter that night and she excused herself from the team to go for a stroll. The team knew she was acting strange, she had been for the past two weeks but the dismissed it knowing the Artemis was a secretive person.

The wind swept through her golden yellow hair, allowing it yo flutter gracefully in the air. She decided to wear her civilian outfit this time. Playing superhero was nice but they all needed a break sometimes.

She felt a presence follow her. It had been for a while but she let that person be. But she really couldn't handle the feeling that someone could be there to kill her. She shifted her head slightly and saw the mysterious figure reach their hand out to touch her shoulder.

Artemis reacted immediately without hesitation and grabbed the mysterious figure's arm and shoving it behind their back and pushing them against the wall. Hard.

"I don't know who you are but stop following me." Artemis warned. The mysterious figure chuckled, "Still feisty." A familiar voice teased. Artemis pulled down the mysterious figure's hoodie to see Kid Flash.

"What the hell Kid!" Artemis growled, releasing him,"What are you doing here anyways?" She asked. "You were acting kinda weird these past two weeks. You haven't called me stupid or Kid dumb in a while. I just thought I could help you." Kid Flash explained.

"Well I don't need your help and this is none of your business so just leave." She snapped. "Is this because of your sister?" He asked. Her eyes widened, "How did you...?" Artemis began.

"Your my best friend. Of course I know this. Are you going to see her?" He asked. Artemis wrapped her arms around her body and nodded. "Where are you meeting her?" Kid flash asked.

"Déco Café. It might take a while but it's worth the distance." She said. Kid Flash quickly picked her up bridal style and sped through the streets until they reached downtown. He put her down and she clutched his arm,"You idiot! Warn me next time!" She yelled, slapping his head.

"Ow! Sorry." He grinned sheepishly. Artemis rolled her eyes and stood in front of the door to Déco Café. She sighed and put her hand on the door,"You can do this. Good luck. "He said giving her a small smile. She looked at him and gave him the sweetest smile she had ever given before.

"Thanks." She said before opening the door and walking in. She looked around and spotted a girl with ebony hair sipping quietly on what looked like hot chocolate. Artemis made her way to the booth that the ebony haired girl was sitting at.

"Hey Jade." Artemis greeted. Jade stood up and embraced her sister,"Hey Arty. How are you?" Jade asked. "Same as always." Artemis shrugged. The two sister's sat down,"Does your team know that you come here?" Jade asked.

"No they don't. Only Wally knows." Artemis said. "You care for that boy very much don't you?" Jade asked. Artemis nodded,"I do but I can't have him." She admitted.

"Why not?" Jade asked. "He's in love with Jinx. She's an ex villain." Artemis explained. "I used to be just like her. But then Roy saw something in me that I didn't. That was the good in me. But I'm sure you'll find someone that loves you." Jade advised, placing her hand on top of Artemis's.

"Thanks." Artemis said standing up to give her sister a hug. "Bye sis." Jade waved. "Bye sis." Artemis said walking out of the cafe. Outside waiting for her was Kid flash. "Ready to go?" He asked. Artemis nodded as he picked her up bridal style and sped them back to HQ.

"Thanks for the help." Artemis smiled. He smiled back,"No problem." Artemis leaned forward and kissed his cheek.

"I couldn't have done it without you."
