WARNING: SEXUAL IMPLICATIONS TOWARDS THE END

"So... Where to now, Master Jedi?" Kira inquired, folding her hands together and blinking expectantly. Luke shrugged, then gave a long defeated sigh as he remembered too late again that Kira couldn't see him and replied as best he could to her question.

"First off we should find a more populous area, with shops and markets to find a comm to buy in the first place."

"That sounds right." Kira replied affirmatively, and Luke grabbed her shoulder gently and lead her. She hated having to trust someone else to lead her around, but being blind both physically and spiritually she had no other choice. It wasn't like she'd forgotten his little breach into her subconscious either; now her mind was peeled for any more sneak peeks.

As a matter of fact, Kira realized this was the first time either of them had said a word to them since her incident, and she guessed he was either embarrassed or concerned or both. She just hoped he hadn't found anything suspicious tucked away in the depths of her subconscious.

Kira noticed that something felt off, and narrowed her eyes as she walked. Luke apparently noticed, because he gave her shoulder a squeeze. "What's wrong?"

"What are we walking on? It feels... Soft."

"I guess the ground is just wet." Luke replied simply. "Maybe it rained."

"Maybe." Kira replied skeptically, but the more she thought of it the more the air seemed thicker and smelled like rain. It seemed like a good reason for the ground to be soft if it had just rained so she decided to drop it, shaking her head at her paranoia. She knew she was afraid, but of what she didn't know.

Stop it. She reprimanded herself, realizing in concern that this was not her normal behavior. Then again, her normal behavior consisted of always searching for another behavior, so she didn't exactly know what to establish as normal for herself. But she was fine with this; this was her job. Her sole purpose.

After a few minutes of walking Kira started to steadily hear more noise that consisted of walking and chatter, meaning the two of them were reaching a populated area. The noise grew louder until Kira found herself immersed in it, and the ground beneath her changed as well.

"Are we inside a building?" She asked quietly, tilting her head up to wherever she believed Luke's ear was in order to be discreet about her obvious blindness. That would probably attract unwanted attention.

Luke ushered her into the crowd and made sure the two of them got lost in it before replying. "No, we're just in a common area. I'll look around for any comm shops, so just stay close."

Kira frowned. "Does anyone else have their hands on shoulders? Because if not that could give my blindness away."

Luke looked around and noticed in dismay that no one else looked as out of place as the two of them while he grabbed her shoulder professionally. However, the other physical touch he saw was either hand holding or wrapping an arm around shoulders. "No, but the other physical touching I see are... Intimate."

"Oh, like hand holding?"

Luke saw a couple smooching in an alleyway and immediately looked away as the girl saw him and glared. "Yeah, hand holding." He replied unconvincingly, running a hand through his now brown hair.

Kira raised a brow at his obvious discomfort. Maybe she was getting somewhere with him. "Well, do you think we should do that? I know it's awkward, but-"

"Look down and pretend to laugh at something I just said." Luke whispered harshly, and Kira immediately leaned her head on her shoulder and closed her eyes and chuckled as if he'd said something funny, and continued to do so until the coast was clear. As soon as he pulled away she did too, both of them painfully aware of the awkward feelings they had for the other. Kira was internally slapping herself for being to distant from the Jedi until now and annoyed at the awkwardness due to the fact that it would make her job that much harder, while Luke was... Well, Luke was simply trying desperately not to think of how beautiful she looked when she laughed.
