Chapter 16

"Are you gaining weight?" Naomi asked.

Ember looked at her and then looked down at her body. "No, why?"

Naomi squinted her eyes , touching her stomach. "Are you pregnant ?"

"Hell nah, I'm on the pill. I mean I'm eating good. I always gain a few pounds when I'm in love." Ember laughed. She was sitting in Naomi's living room drinking wine while the guys were in the other room playing cards.

"I think you and Roman are an interesting couple." Cameron chimed in, sipping on her wine. She flipped her hair over her shoulder.

"I know must people do, but I won't take that as shade. What have you been up to these days?"

"Trying to get into acting. I know that's my true calling."

"Right since it isn't wrestling." Ember finished her glass of wine and went into the kitchen to get more. She went behind Roman and wrapped her arms around him. "Are you losing in spades?"

"Hell yeah!" Jey said as he threw his card down.

"We're staying here tonight if that's cool." Roman looked up at her and kissed her.

"Yeah, that's fine." Ember poured a glass of wine and walked back into the living room.

Her phone vibrated.

Finn: You're in Orlando
Ember: How do you know?
Finn: Snapchat darling
Ember: ???
Finn: I need to see you
Ember: I'm busy

She needed Finn to leave her alone. She was back on good terms with Zaddy and she didn't need Finn messing this up for her.

"I'm so glad you're in our family. I get so annoyed when they speak their other language. Does Roman ever do that in front of you?"

"At the barbecue. But it didn't bother me. But I'm not your family yet."

"I'm sure you will be." Naomi smirked.

"Girl, the divorce is almost final. I need to give him time to breathe."

"I bet you ain't giving that dick time to breathe." Cameron said in her high pitch voice.

"Nope, sounds like you need to get some Samoan dick yourself. The twins have brothers."

"They are too young for Cameron. Anyways are you still not talking to Sasha?" Naomi interjected her two cents.

Ember shook her head. "Hell nah. I should stop being petty but she messed with Finn and she's been trying to get with Roman again."

Cameron's jaw dropped. "You dated Finn Balor? Girl what are you doing to these guys. Pour some more tea, this shit is hot girl."

Ember didn't know what Cameron was implying, but if she was trying to say she's ugly than they would have a problem. "I mean besides the fact that I like video games and I'm just a dope person, I'm good at sucking dick." Ember had no shame in her game and didn't mind talking about sex.

Naomi and Cameron laughed. "So, why did y'all break up?"

"You didn't hear me say Sasha, she hooked up with Finn. I was done after that and he's been hitting me up for awhile now. He was just texting me."

"Who was just texting you?" Roman barged in. The ladies all got quiet and looked at Roman.

"Don't worry about it Roman. Finish your game." Ember walked up to him and kissed him.

"Who is texting you? Let me see your phone."

"Nah." She put her phone in her back pocket.

Roman reached for her back pocket and Ember ran from him. She ended up in the guest bedroom they were staying in. She laid on the bed and Roman towered over her. He tickled her all over and kissed on her neck.

"Does it still hurt?"

"No.." She moaned, looking at him.

"Is Finn still texting you.?"

Ember froze not knowing what to say. "Yes." She answered lowly.

"Damn it Ember." He hit the bed. "What does he want?"

" I don't know... But I don't want him. I just want you."

"He stayed over your house awhile ago?" Roman had her pinned down, so she couldn't move.

"Yeah. He didn't have anywhere to go."

"Why didn't you tell me? Why did you keep this from me?" He yelled.

"Babe, please calm down. Let's not cause a scene."

"You know my temper flares up when you do stupid shit."

Ember pushed him off of her. "We didn't do anything."

"Just like you came from his hotel room in your underwear that night. How can I trust you?" He sat on the side of the bed in his thoughts.

"Finn and I are really comfortable around each other. But, whatever were in my town,so I'm going home." Ember adjusted her clothes and put her sneakers on. She sent for an Uber to pick her up.

"Just like that.. You're going home? You have nothing to say."

Ember looked up at him. "You don't trust me so I'm outtie. Ain't nothing else to say, it's funny you can talk about trust when you cheated on Galina the entire marriage."

Ember grabbed her bag snd stormed out of the room. She didn't even say anything to her friends.

"Ember what's the matter?" Naomi followed her to the door.

"Get your cousin. He doesn't trust me." Ember walked out of the house.

Naomi grabbed her hand. "Girl, don't leave like this. He loves you and y'all need to work this out."

Ember looked at her and said "No."

She climbed into the SUV and left their house. She grabbed her phone out of her phone.

Meet me at my house. I'll be there in 10 mins.
