Reign On Me (Ember Moon x Roman Reigns)

Chapter 19

Ember waited backstage for Roman to return from his Wrestlemania match. He had just beaten the Undertaker and the fans were not happy. It has been rough getting to this point, but she was glad she could be there for him.

Roman walked up to her with tears in his eyes. "You know I didn't want to do that. I didn't want to be the last person to wrestle him. It should have been someone else." Roman slid down against the wall and balled himself up.

People were coming around him, but Ember shooed them away. She didn't want anyone to see him like this. She got on her knees and wrapped her arms around him. "Baby, it's okay. You did great. Look at it as an honor, something that we will look back on like oh my gosh I remember that."

Roman didn't want to hear that. He was tired of getting booed. He wasn't even a heel for the amount of heat he received. It was like they were trying to make him into The Rock, but he couldn't compare and that wasn't fair to him.

"I just don't know why the fans hate me so much."

"Babe, it doesn't matter. You are here and you just main evented Wrestlemania for the third year in a row. Don't you doubt yourself." She kissed him.

Sika walked up to them and said "Son get up! You can't be moping that you beat the Undertaker. You should be honored you were selected." A few more of Roman's family members walked up and surrounded him.

"I don't care.. This isn't something I wanted. I'm not the Rock and I'm horrible on the mic. I don't want to do a whole lot of talking. I just want to wrestle."

"That's part of the job." Rikishi's added in.

Roman stood up and grabbed Ember's hand. "I appreciate you all, but I'm heading to my hotel room. I'm drained from this week." Just like that Roman walked off with Ember by his side.

Hunter caught the attention of Roman. "Reigns, can I talk to you and Ember for a second?"

Ember gulped and looked at Roman. They weren't supposed to be together and was supposed to lay low until the storyline was over.

"Good job tonight closing the show." Hunter admitted. "There have been some rumors going around that Ember is pregnant." Roman shot his eyes to her belly.

"No, I'm not!" Ember interjected.

"Well, that's good but we are thinking about doing some storyline changes and character tweaks." Hunter said, looking at the two. "We want Ember to turn heel and cause you the match. She will be in a kayfabe relationship with Finn, and y'all can continue whatever y'all are doing."

Roman and Ember looked at each other. Maybe it was the right thing for Ember to do, but she didn't want her love to lose. Then finish would force her to spend time with her ex. She wasn't exactly thrilled.

"We will do it." Roman said, shaking the hand of Triple H. Ember wasn't on board with the idea but she opted to remain quiet and see how things would play out. He was going through a lot right now with the divorce and having to end it for The Undertaker.

Ember smiled weakly at Hunter, but she knew Finn was in his ear. She shook his hand, and followed Roman to his dressing room.

He sat down on the couch completely silent. Ember straddled him and lifted his chin. "Ember I'm not in the mood." Roman's husky voice commanded.

Ember couldn't remember a time he turned her down. He really needed to get out of his feelings about being picked as the top guy. So what the fans don't like you. "You can't mope and complain all because of this. You're so damn ungrateful."

Roman's eyebrows rose. "What did you say to me?!"

"You heard me loud and clear." Ember blew her breath. "You have main evented three consecutive Wrestlemanias. How the fuck can you be upset? Maybe if I had a famous wrestling family I could complain about my shit too."

Roman pushed her out of his lap. "Exactly, way to always throw the shit in my face. You think you're such a wrestling god cause you did the indies. So what !"

"Are you serious? I can out wrestle you sweetheart." Ember spat.

"Not really..."

"Fuck you Roman. You would definitely ruin a good ass Wrestlemania with your antics. I don't even know why I waste my time with you."

"Every time we're doing good. You find some bullshit excuse to mess it up. Fuck this get out!"

Ember stormed out of his locker room with her bag. How could he even do that?

Next Week on Raw...

Ember stood at the ring anxious and cheered for Roman. She wasn't really interested in being with him. Truth was they haven't spoken to each other since last Sunday at Wrestlemania. She rooted for and cheered for Roman. She looked around and taunted the crowd as she heard many people cheer for her.

Ember looked at Roman trying not to break character but she knew it was eating him up the fans loved her.

Finn was standing against the ropes and Ember pulled his leg causing him to fall. The crowded booed. Ember laughed and pointed at Finn.

Roman was able to counteract and he went for the pin. Ember moved in  and she pulled Roman out of the ring. She kissed him and pushed him off of her to help Finn take advantage of the situation. Finn hit him with his finishing move Coup de Gras. He pulled him into the ring.

One , two , three ! The crowded cheered and then Ember jumped in the arms of Finn and kissed him. She kicked Roman and left the ring with him. Was it even possible for a face to be dating a heel?

The two walked hand in hand into the back. Ember snatched her hand away.

"Great job you two!" Hunter said congratulating them.

"We're gonna have to talk about our kayfabe relationship." Ember said.

"What about it darling?"

"Don't get your hopes up. Plus I saw you with Cameron."

"Yeah we're just fucking."

Ember rolled her eyes at him. Finn Balor was a character.

A/N: I'm still in shock over last night at Mania. Like wow the undertaker is really done. I'm gonna miss my childhood favorite.
