After Calum went back to his dorm, leaving Ashton on his own, the older boy wanted so badly to talk to the ghost again. While most people would probably be scared after finding out about a supernatural being living in their house, Ashton was only excited. He knew it was probably weird, but he just wanted to find out more about his invisible housemate.
He read that it wasn't recommended to use the Ouija Board alone, and since it was late at night, he thought he would go to sleep instead of trying to talk to Luke again.
But he woke up in the morning after hearing a noise from the chair next to his bed and instantly thought of his newly discovered roommate.
"is that Luke?" he asked, knowing how stupid he probably sounded.
Ashton patiently waited for a sign that the ghost was there. It was a slim chance and he knew that, but sure enough his empty glass of water started moving on his side table. A smile rose to his face and he really just wanted to communicate with Luke again and find out more about his ghost.
He got up from the warmth of his bed and retrieved the Ouija Board from where it lay on the floor in the other room, bringing it back to his bed. He got comfortable in his spot on his bed before placing his fingers lightly over the planchette.
"Luke..? A-are you there?" he he didn't really know how he was supposed to talk to the ghost.
Soon enough, the piece of wood under his long fingers were moving over to the upper left corner of the board. Slowly, but surely.
Yes
He didn't really know what to say next because he just had so many questions to ask. "How long have you been here?" he wondered and waited for the ghost's answer.

"Twelve? Twelve what, months?"
Y - "Years." he interrupted before Luke finished. it was taking to long and Ashton was to excited to wait. Twelve years meant that Luke had been around for a long time. Was he here when the previous owner lived here? He remembered Michael saying the girl who was here before was there for a while and never said anything about weird activity in the flat.
"How old were you? When you died." he asked carefully because it's probably hard for someone to think about their own death, even after 12 years of roaming around as a ghost.

Now that took Ashton by surprise. He assumed the ghost was an old man, or at least older than him. Luke was just a kid. Just a kid who died before he got to live his life. This made Ashton feel sick as he wondered what could have happened to his new ghost friend, so he asked him out of curiosity and concern.
"How did it happen?"
Then he waited longer than normal and he felt himself tense up. maybe that was a too personal thing to ask.
No the board moved to, causing Ashton to gulp nervously.
"Shit, I'm really sorry. I shouldn't have asked." he said, feeling stupid. Of course Luke didn't want to share what was probably the most vulnerable topic with a stranger that's living in his house. After that, Ashton wasn't expecting a response, but he still got one.
O-K
He didn't know what to say next. He had plenty of questions, but he didn't want to hurt the feelings of the young ghost. Do spirits even have feelings?
"I-is there any way I could see you?"
D-O-N-T K-N-O-W
Ashton thought for a second back to all the paranormal movies he'd ever seen, all the creepy pastas and ghost stories to think if there was a realistic way to make Luke visible. He was let out of his thoughts when the planchette started moving again below his fingers.
