The colours,
Black and white
are not really colours
in themselves.
Its just the black.
And its just the white.
They're no colours.
They're no sparkles.
They're no primaries.
They're no florescent.
But yet,
the colours,
black and white,
hold a lot of shades in them.
They steal the dark from the night skies, and the beauty of white snow. Then there's silver, which comes from the stars.
And just in case, you're lucky enough, there's a touch of brown to complete the frame.
Maybe that's why we don't always need colours to make beautiful portraits, because some dull shades carry their own beauty with them.
The ordinary beauty.
