We arrived back at Bobby's place sometime before the sun rose. I could still hear the sounds of the night and it was cool outside, rather than hot. I swung my backpack over my back and stumbled into the house. I felt my way up the stairs and fell onto my bed, instantly falling asleep.
I woke sometime in the afternoon. I went into the bathroom and reached for my toothbrush. I brushed the heck out of my teeth, before going back into my room to change. I grabbed a tank top and flannel and slipped them on. My hands searched around for my jeans and when I found them I slipped them on. I went downstairs to the study.
"Bobby?" I asked. No reply. "Bobby?" Still no answer. I went out on the porch and called his name.
"Out in the car lot, Aya!" Came the final reply. I smiled and went back into the house. I grabbed my hunting jacket and whit cane. I sprinted out into the car lot and then I overheard some familiar, yet unfamiliar voices.
"Yeah but Bobby..." The first voice said.
"No way am I giving you the Colt for something as stupid as that. You ain't going to waste another bullet," Bobby's voice countered.
“Bobby, we've been hunting this demon for weeks!” the second voice exclaimed.
“No, Dean,” came Bobby's final decision, “Use your stupid demon knife.”
The first voice, Dean, sighed and that's when I stepped in.
“Oh, hello Winchesters,” I said, coming up from behind one of Bobby's cars. Finally the second voice spoke.
“Aya?” He asked.
“Yup, hello Sam, hello Dean,” I said cautiously, inching forward so that I stood next to Bobby.
“Long time no 'see', eh?” Dean asked, laughing. I scoffed.
“Are you picking on me because I'm blind? That's pretty heinous, I can't help my eyes,” I retorted, trying to remind him of why we weren't friends. When he didn't understand, I shook my head.
“I'm going down to the bar down the road,” I said, turning.
“Don't--” Bobby began to protest, but I stopped him.
“Bobby, I'll be fine. I go all the time,” I turned back around and made my way back to the house without another word. As I walked down to the bar I secretly hoped the Winchesters would be gone by the time I got home. When I entered the bar, I dodged a flying beer bottle and went to go sit at the counter. The bartender came to me first. We were friends I guess. He told me all that he overheard and I bought beer.
“Hey, Aya,” He said, “The usual?”
“Yeah, thanks, Jenkins,” I replied. He returned in a minute with a beer and sat it in front of me.
“Any news?” I asked, taking a sip.
“A witch in Kansas and something really fuckin weird in Ohio,” Jenkins replied, “What do you prefer?”
“Tell me about Ohio,” I said, taking another sip.
“Some little town, hmm,” Jenkins started, pausing for a moment, “say about 500 people, max. Apparently in the last month, 100 people have died.”
Then I was interested.
“Anyone already on this?” I asked.
“You think I would tell you if someone was already on it?”
“Alright. But a case so interesting, how come no one is on it?”
“Well they either think it's not something they need to look into, or they are scared to death.”
I took another sip and thought over these things in my head.
“Thank you, Jenkins,” I said, paying him. I gulped down the rest of my beer and went out the door. After a stroll in the woods, I returned home. It had been two hours since I left. I went into the house, and it was empty. I shrugged and ran upstairs to the computer. I felt the keys for the bumps which told me what letters they were. I typed in “Mass deaths in Ohio”. The computer spoke out all the search results.
“News for: mass deaths in Ohio. 'Small town of Cooperstown, experiences one-hundred deaths in the past month.' 'Town devastated, one-hundred dead.'”
I typed in directions to Cooperstown, Ohio from Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
“Approximately 13 hours to Cooperstown, Ohio from your current location,” I shut down the computer and heard the door downstairs open. I rushed to the stairs and tripped, tumbling down them. I stood up and ran to the door.
“Bobby!” I exclaimed, embracing the figure who I thought was Bobby. He pushed me off.
“Try again, sweetheart,” Dean's annoying voice said.
“Oh. You're back,” I said, pouting and throwing myself on the couch.
“Wow, what a big baby!” Dean retorted.
“Dean...” Sam warned. I scowled at him and then Bobby spoke.
“What are you so frantic about, Aya?” He asked. I sat up.
“A case. Cooperstown, Ohio. Small town, 500 people. In the last month, 100 people have dropped dead. Just like that.”
“And you want me to take you,” Bobby assumed.
“Yes, pleaseeeeeeee,” I pleaded.
“No, Aya. I'm not taking you to Ohio.” I pouted again.
“We'll take you,” Dean spoke up.
{ a/n: So now you understand that Aya doesn't like the Winchesters and the Winchesters don't like her. I have decided to wait a couple chapters until you find out WHY they don't like eachother. So, this road trip is going to be one to remember. }
