“What?” I asked, standing up.
“I said we'll take you,” Dean repeated.
“Why would I want to go anywhere with you?” I spat at him, inching forward.
“I don't know why you wouldn't!” Dean said and I could hear the arrogant in his voice. I rolled my eyes.
“Jerk,” I mumbled.
“So do you want to go or not? We are going with or without you,” Dean said, backing down.
“Yes, I want to go,” I finally said, and then I turned to Bobby, “Please?”
It was silent for a moment before he replied.
“Oh alright.”
“Yes! My own case!” I shouted.
“Settle down now,” Dean said, “we leave in ten minutes.”
In a cloud of joy, I ran out of the room, and up the stairs. I felt around the room for my backpack and when I found it, I grabbed a small pile of jeans and then a few tank tops and flannels. I threw the bag over my shoulder and seized my dagger that had used to be my fathers. My fingers fell between the grooves and I felt the beautiful designs that he himself had put on there. I dropped it into my backpack as well. I grabbed my jacket and white cane. I rushed down the stairs, completely a mess, but ready to go. Before I entered the kitchen, I over heard Bobby talking to Dean.
“You take care of her. Protect her, and I swear if you don't--”
“I know, I know, I'm dead,” Dean interrupted, “She won't die on my watch.”
I walked into the kitchen after that and smiled.
“We should probably get going,” Sam said.
“Are you ready, sweetheart?” Dean asked.
“Yes, Dean, I am. Quit calling me that,” I stated, extending my white cane. I poked him in the stomach and then went over to the front door.
“Coming?” I asked as I opened the door. Sam laughed and the I felt him pass me as he went out. I could just imagine the look on Dean's face. Then without another word, he went out, brushing past me. I smiled. Bobby came up next to me and gave me a hug.
“Stay safe, okay?” He said and I rolled my eyes.
“I'm 26, Bobby, and I will be fine,” I said stressing the word fine.
“I know,” Bobby said. I smiled at him and then felt my way out of the house. One of the Winchesters came up to me, I'm assuming Sam, and helped me over to the car.
“Thanks,” I said as he held open the back door for me.
“So, Cooperstown, Ohio. Where the hell is that?” Dean asked.
After about three hours in the car we pulled up to a gas station.
“What are we doing?” I asked as I heard Dean's door open.
“Dean's hungry,” Sam answered, coming around to the door to help me out. I grabbed on to his arm for stability and then extended my white cane. Sam guided me into the little gas station store. I knew these kind of places before. We stopped at one on the way home from Virginia. I let go of Sam's arm when we got inside.
“Where are the drinks? Like water?” I asked Sam. He took hold of my hand and then pointed it to the coolers where they kept water.
“Thank you,” I said, pulling my hand out of his and walking over to the cooler. I grabbed a water bottle and walked back over to Sam. I set the water on the counter and pulled a wad of cash from my pocket. I stuff it in Sam's hand.
