"Are you sure you're ready, my lovely?"
"Yes, thank you. I'm ready."
She smiles at me fondly and hands me the probes. I place them on my head and in my ears. The room glows with a soft silvery light emanating from the silver devices and probes that fill it. I draw in this beautiful image and take a deep breath, a little nervous but I have complete confidence in our Minds. I close my eyes as she slowly puts it on my head.
This is it, I think. Make it or break it. Our one chance to gain peace for the world and I will be on the cover. This will all be down to me. Everyone will look up to me and thank me for saving the universe for eternity.
She said so.
I savour this happy thought as her soft voice fills my ears.
