"It's the weekend! And we are going to the beach on this very sunny beautiful day," she practically rips open the blinds- blinding me; maybe that's why they are called blinds.... they prevent you from becoming blind!

I groan and groggily pick my phone up off the bedside table, it shows 8am. She had to wake me up so early? This is so unacceptable! I went to bed at 1 in the morning and I need more than seven hours of sleep. "You had to wake me up so early!" Mackenzie just grins and throws my blankets off me. Lucky there is no winter breeze so I won't freeze my butt off. There is no winter breeze cause it's summer and I'm super dumb...

"It's not that early. Now get up and get dressed, I picked out some clothes for you and I'll get your things as well while you get ready." She walks out of my room, finally leaving me so I can get a few more minutes rest. "And don't even think about sleeping!" I groan and in frustration, stand up. She set out clothes at the bottom of the bed; high waisted dark blue denim shorts and a white spaghetti strapped crop top. There's also a plain black bikini set with thongs on the floor. Thongs as in flip flops or jandals.

Shrugging, I strip from my very exposing pyjamas but it's not like anyone but family will see it. Then I throw on my bikinis and pull my high waisted shorts up over the bottoms, then I put on my white crop top. At least it doesn't show much of my stomach, only like a slither of it. Why did she think to go to the beach today, couldn't have Mackenzie planned to go to the beach tomorrow? At least I would have been more prepared.

Mackenzie swings open the door not bothering to ask if I'm decent or not. She looks me up and down and nods, "okay I've got your things. Let's go!" I slip on my thongs (flip flops) and rush after her, mum isn't up yet so I write a note and leave it on the kitchen counter for her. Then I run out of the house, locking the door behind me. Mackenzie had already started the car and she's just sitting there waiting for me.

"It's just us going, right?" I ask as I open the door and sit in the car. When the door closes she backs out of the driveway and starts the ride to the beach. I fear that she has invited someone that I do not like, which is everyone! She rolls her eyes at me and gives me a look.

"You don't like anyone these days. If I did invite anyone else I'd be in big trouble by you," she chuckles. I glare at her, she turns up the radio and we listen to music the rest of the car ride to the beach.

She parks the car swiftly when we arrive and jumps out, I get out of the car not thinking about anything in particular. Once I close the door and walk around the car, I see Mackenzie holding a beach bag and a beach ball. I hate exercise. I've heard that exercise is actually meant to make people feel better, but the memories of exercising only bring me pain. And I sound crazy. I've always been crazy.

Silently I follow Mackenzie while she finds a spot to put our stuff, once she finds one- she drops the bag and pulls out two towels from the bag, making sure to give me one. I set my towel out and decide to strip right there, I'm in my bikinis anyway... "Hot day today, right?" Mackenzie is sweating, I nod in agreement and ask if she can put sunscreen on my back. While she does the areas I cannot reach, I do my face, arms, neck, stomach and chest. "All done! Can you do me?" I nod and do her back, the back of her neck and shoulders.
