"Arsie?"

I saw him. I saw him standing right in front of me, his eyes red and swollen; his hair was shaggy and he looked pale.

"Cha. . . Chasten. . ?"

"Arsie, Chasten isn't here. Please, get a hold of yourself." the sudden snap of Josh's voice brought me back to reality. Right, Chasten won't chase after me. He never does.

Or does he?

Will you please fucking stop listening to my thoughts? I screamed inside my head. This little pest, what's wrong with him? I turned around and saw him standing in front of the door, carrying plates and trays; wearing a dirty apron with his little equipments on his side. He suddenly smirked at me, then went inside the restaurant.

"Arsie, are you okay? What's with you today?" Josh said as he held my hand tightly, with a worried face and a sincere tone in his voice. I sighed. I really am causing him so much trouble.

Can you feel your heart beating really fast?

Oh, hell no.

"I'm okay, let's just go home." I stated. He smiled and walked us back to his car. The whole drive was definitely silent, and hows-and-what-ifs started to flood my head.

How can he hear my thoughts?

How can he hear the voices inside my head?

Chie? Can you hear me?

What if he just thought he heard that?

Is he God?

Gosh, what am I thinking?

"Hey, since it's still too early. . . Do you wanna go somewhere?" Josh suddenly asked out of the blue. I looked at him with a gloomy expression. He sighed, then stopped the car in front of a one-stop shop. "I'm just gonna buy something real quick. Be right back," he quickly said and went out of the car.

After a few minutes, he came back with two bottles of tequila and a bottle of vodka. Ugh, Josh. You're definitely the best.

"Let's drink somewhere else." I smiled as he gently showed me the bottles and grinned. He gave the bottles to me and sat on the driver's seat. Goddammit, My cravings are intense.

As he started to drive, he inserted a flash drive and pushed the play button. It was my playlist, which I recently added. Damn, that shit's full of gross love songs. 'All About Us' by He Is We started to play and I instantly cringed. That song used to be Chasten's favorite—and by favorite I mean like the most favorite song, and he decided to make it our theme song. Right, it makes me cringe real good. But somehow, as I listened to the song, the word 'cringe' wasn't in my mind actually. It was pain.

Full-on pain.

"Cause lovers dance when they're feeling in love, spotlight shining it's all about u—"

I angrily pushed the play button and the music stopped. I can feel the tears streaming down my face.

"Arsie! Oh God, are you crying?" Josh shrieked as he immediately stopped the car. Good thing the road's empty. He then saw the tears streaming down my face. Is he stupid? Can't he see the tears flowing? I wiped them off and stared at him for a solid minute. His face was full of worry; his eyes full of concern.

I'm sorry Josh, I'm causing you a lot of trouble. Definitely a lot.

"I'm fine. Just continue driving." I bluntly said. He then started to drive with a blunt face, and I somehow dozed off. My eyes were definitely heavy enough for involuntary sleep.
