I wake with my body pressed against Ashton’s, like he’s shielding me from the world. Last night creeps into my mind and I smile, but then wonder how we got in my bed. We both confessed that we love each other, but I don’t really know where that leaves us. It doesn’t matter, I guess; I’m just glad we finally got it out. I shake him and yell, “Hey, dick; wake up.”

“Don’t be a bitch this early in the morning,” he groans and props his self up on his elbows. His hair is everywhere, his chest is bare, and his smile is lazy. All in all, he looks adorable.

“I’m already a bitch? I feel touched.”

He grins and pushes me down, hovering over me. I attempt to hide my giggle, but I can’t, because his lips attack mine in a sloppy kiss, before going down to my neck and nipping at it playfully. He pulls away and grins down at me. “You know I love you,” he says.

“Mhmm,” I hum.

He frowns.

“I know.” I smile and stroke his face softly. “I love you too.”

“I know.”

I roll my eyes, but pull him down for a kiss anyway. I don’t know where this leaves us, but I know we’re unconditionally in love with each other; somehow I think we always were. Everyone could see it; I know Erin did for sure, but they all went along with our story of the two teenagers that hated each other, using the other one for pleasure.

“Stella!”

I pull away from Ashton, glancing at the door as he rolls off of me, to lay by my side. The door flings open and Jessie and Erin walk in.

“Oh, gross,” Jessie groans.

I begin giggling so much I have to pull my blanket over my mouth. Ashton begins laughing too. He buries his face in the crook of my neck and mumbles, “You’re getting us in trouble.”

“You’re the one that’s shirtless,” I argue.

“You know I always sleep shirtless.”

“Guys!” Erin yells.

I turn to face her and slide up into a sitting position. Ashton does the same; looking dazed and confused as ever. “What’s up?” I ask.

“Do you want to go shopping with us? We’re going to hang out at the mall, get some food.”

“Yeah; sure.”

“Can I go?” Ashton asks quietly.

“Obviously you’re going. I called James and he’s going. He’s lonely without Todd.”

“Okay,” Ashton replies with a nod, avoiding her last statement. “I need a shower.”  He climbs out of bed, walking to my closet, grabbing a band shirt and his jeans off the floor. Both of their eyes are glued to his bare body as he walks into the bathroom, closing the door.

“Are you guys still fuck buddies?” Erin asks.

“Yeah,” I shrug.

“Stella, bring me a towel!” Ashton yells from the bathroom.

“Get it yourself,” I yell back.

“Baby,” he whines.

I roll my eyes, standing up to grab a towel out of the hall closet. I open the bathroom door and throw it in, but he appears in front of me.

“Join me,” he says, grinning.

“I have company.” I pull the door closed and turn back to my friends.
