Paris Love

Short story on how Draco got the idea for his proposal to Hermione.

DRACO POV

I love Hermione. More than you can imagine. Which is why I'm currently in muggle Paris, the city of love, trying to plan the perfect way to propose. 

This is super difficult. First of all, should I do a public proposal in a fancy restaurant? Or should I plan a picnic and do it in private? Or should I bring her to the Eiffel Tower and pretend to tie my shoelace but then actually propose? There are so many options and I want it to be perfect.

I already have a ring. It has been in the Malfoy family for centuries. It's elegant, classy, and expensive without screaming 'I'm rich". I got "Bookworm and Ferret" engraved in it. I know she'll absolutely love it. 

I have been strolling in Paris for almost six hours with no good ideas so I decide to leave. After all, I didn't want Hermione to get worried. 

*line break*

"Hey love. How was your day?" I say to my beautiful girlfriend.

"Good I guess, I was just reading. Where were you, I missed you!" she says before kissing me.

I savor the taste of her cherry chapstick before pulling away.

"Oh I just did a little bit of shopping", I mumble vaguely before quickly changing the subject.

"What did you read today?", I ask.

"I read this biography of this author in Paris. It was so interesting and especially the places she visited", Hermione says with passion.

Hmmm, that got me thinking. I slyly say, "And what is your personal favourite place in Paris?".

"Oh there was this beautiful bridge, Dray. It's called Pont des Arts and people go there and buy a lock to lock on the bridge. When you lock it on to the bridge, it's like signifying your love will last forever!", Hermione said escatically. 

I absorbed all of this info. What a great place to propose. I could buy a emerald and ruby lock to lock on and then afterward I'll profess my love and go down on one knee to propose. Afterwards we could go to a fancy french restaurant and then tour the Eiffel tower at night. Oh and I totally should book a room at Blaise's five star hotel for the night. I grinned at the anticipation of hot sex with my new fiance.

"Draco? Are you even listening to me?" Hermione waved her hand in front of my face.

"Uh oh yeah darling of course!" I break out of my reverie and stammer.

"Ah Draco what will I do with you?" she says affectionately then kissing me hard.

"I love you Mya. So so much", I say genuinely, pecking her lightly on the cheek.

"Wow, who knew that the famous Draco Malfoy could actually be sappy", she joked lightly.

"And Dray, I love you too. So so much", she replied.

I looked at her in her sweats, my old quidditch jumper, no makeup, and her hair tied up in a messy bun and thought that she never looked more gorgeous. She looked incredible just being herself. I've always hated the girls like Pansy who were cakefaced in makeup and wore slutty dresses that covered pretty much nothing. Hermione is literally the most beautiful girl I've ever met and man, was I lucky to have her.

"Take a picture, it lasts longer", Hermione said. I blushed realizing that I've been staring at her for like two minutes.

"You know you're beautiful, right?", I say softly, taking her hand and kissing it.

"Okay Draco, you're scaring me. What's up with all the sap today?" She said confused but still smiling.

"I'm realizing how damn lucky I am to have you and how I totally don't deserve you at all and how I'll spend every day of my life trying to be the man you deserve", I say seriously.

"I love you Draco Malfoy and you deserve every inch of me", She says with tears shining in her eyes from my heartfelt words.

"Now your manliness has probably taken quite a blow today from all that love stuff. Why don't you redeem your manliness in our bedroom?", Hermione says, winking at him seductively.

"Hell yeah baby", He says before picking her up bridal style and pouncing on her once they reached the bedroom.
