It all seemed surreal to him.

Emil Steilsson was going to be a big brother, all because some idiots were being idiots.

Shall we start from the beginning?

It all started at a World Meeting at Germany's house.(Original, I know) It was held for unknown reasons at the time, labeled to the others as an 'Urgent Matter' that needed to be 'Addressed Immediately', and at the time everyone thought that was stupid at the time. All world meetings were labeled the same, and yet nothing got done. It all seemed like the same nonsense they all had to deal with every month when the meeting rolled around, nonetheless the country's got off their butts and made their way to Germany for it. They knew that they all had to come whether they wanted to or not, it was labeled 'Urgent' and needed to be 'Addressed Immediately'. However, for some odd reason, Emil felt different. He felt tense and anxious over what seemed like nothing. To his luck, no one seemed to notice his unusual behavior, no one really payed too much attention to him besides when his older brother Lukas makes a scene about Emil not calling him 'big brother'.

Yes, he had a few friends on and offline, but he was never the center off attention at these things, his matters never seemed to be important enough. Even when he gained his independence from Denmark and the others no one really cared besides his small friend group. He never thought something like this would have to do with a nation like him. It was just not normal.

The trip to Germany had been smooth for the Nordics. Nothing exciting happened, no one died, no one made a dramatic scene, it was just regular travel. When they arrived at the conference building it was around noon. Being the smart people they were, the group decided to grab lunch on the train they used to get there. It was not gourmet or anything, just bland, wholegrain stuff you would find in a middle school cafeteria. The food was not as pleasant as Emil wanted it to be, but he had a backup supply of licorice if he got hungry. Back to the conference building.

Getting in was as normal as it had always been. They showed their special nation ID's that gave them privileges so they could enter the chaotic meeting room that always seemed to be filled with surprises. Not feeling particularly social, he decided to stick with his family instead of starting conversations with the few friends he had here. Emil did not want any more feelings or responsibilities at the moment for his anxiousness was all he needed. Like anyone would do, Emil sat down and started fidgeting with the hem of his shirt. He decided to occupy himself with the hem of his shirt and listening in on some of the mindless chatter around him. There were many different conversations with topics all across the board, but a reoccurring theme he tended to hear was 'why was this meeting called?'

Yes, it was somewhat odd that a meeting was called so soon, but not too uncommon to make everyone worried. Every once and awhile there would be some minor epidemic that needed a meeting like official and fancy country get together, or something along those lines at least. From what Emil experienced, the meetings either way were never relevant to him in major ways, so he usually started playing on his phone or doodled on his notepad. And that is exactly how he did things this meeting. When Germany started to get everyone's attention for the 'Important News', he just minded his own business, but when the rowdiness of the usual meetings died down, the German continued his introduction.

"Alright everyone, settle down. I have called a meeting today because a new country has been found and needs to go to their respective family. Her name is Manelia, or (name) (lastname), and I happened to find her in a local middle school living with a foster family."

There were many whispers across he room, but none interested Emil at all. The thought that another country joining the meetings was somewhat interesting, but there was nothing that was going to affect him. Germany said himself this girl was in middle school, so the thought of them being friends was slim. Emil was not social anyways, so chances of relations forming between him and the mystery country were small. Not that he minded, but the info is still there for more detail.

"You can come out now (name)."

With that, everyone's attention was once again at the front of the room. Emil's was there too, he had nothing better to do. From a side door that connected to the meeting room, a girl emerged from the doorway. Rolling in, he observed her features. She had (hair length) (hair color) hair and (eye color) eyes. She was wearing a Meline Martinez shirt that represented the song 'Pacify Her', and a blanket, he could not see your pants. Adjusting her wheelchair to face the front of the room, she smiled and waved awkwardly. The anxious feeling grew stronger as Germany spoke once more.

"As you can see, this is Malenia. You were all called here to meet her, and also so she can get with her respective country group as I have previously mentioned."

America immediately jumped up startling the girl slightly. No one else seemed to notice besides Emil, for he had seen her slightly flinch when America jumped up so suddenly and spoke so obnoxiously loud.

"So Germany dude, who is the dudette going with? I hope its me! We can eat burgers and play video games and-"

Alfred was cut off by a certain Brit wielding a rolled up newspaper. "Shut up you bloody git! If anything she would not go with you, you would raise her terribly!"

Suddenly, France popped up and approached the frightened girl. "I think jeune fleur should come with me."

Francis was immediately smacked repeatedly with the same rolled newspaper as the nations began to fight once more. The girl known as (name) seemed confused and somewhat scared at this point, obviously not trusting to live with the people she had seen at that point. Eventually Germany started yelling to get them to stop their childish bickering.

"SHUT UP!"

Their heads snapped towards Germany and everything fell silent.

"Manelia is going with the Nordics, Iceland to be exact because she is his younger sister! Now will you all be sensible adults and be civil for once!"

The room, still silent, turned their gazes towards Emil as the anxious feeling finally got to him. Taking an educated guess, (name) quickly figured out who her brother was and rolled over to him. Tapping his shoulder, he turned to met with his new little sister. She held out a hand for the young teen to shake, which he accepted gingerly.

"Hello, as you know my name is (name), it's very nice to meet you big brother!"

Emil knew his life was going to be a lot lees mediocre thanks to her, and the name big brother... for some reason it made him feel warm inside.
