Past

Arya looked at Yamada who had nodded.

His hands were shaking. She scratched her head as she placed a glass of water in front of him.

He was surprised.

"Look.... I am not the brightest bulb when it comes to consoling someone....But....I can listen." She replied sheepishly.

The fact that she was ready to listen made me feel happy.

"The murdered victim.... she....." He hesitated.

"Your fiancé.... Yeah I know... I watch the news. ... That is not what I want to know you know." She sighed.

I nodded.

"Atsuko.... She is a model. Well... I fell in love with her when we were both chosen to turn up in a sun screen advertisement. She was really good to me.... Believe me.... I wouldn't kill her." He wheezed as his voice cracked.

She nodded simply.

"My parents were against us. I found it strange. I mean, they always supported me for everything but when it came to Atsuko..... They were really against us.... Even Yuto and Chinen. It didn't make sense. I felt angry. I loved Atsuko... I really did. She was ready to wait for me..... That was what I thought." Anguish washed over him.

The pain of everything resurfaced.

Arya was silent. She waa waiting. Her face and eyes did not betry any emotions so far.

"Atsuko had told me that she was unable to bear children. She had been born with some childhood problem. I didnt mind... its true I want to see thw face of my child but it was okay. We could adopt.... There were so many kids out there without a proper family...... But...4 days ago...."

《Flashback》

Yamada smiled he looked at the flowers he had gotten her.

He had proposed to her a week ago. Johnny-san or nor the others were happy.

But they still gave their blessings, grudgingly though.

He smiled. He had come unannounced. He was about to knock when....

"So you seriously told him you can't have children because you have some childhood defect?" A unfamiliar voice laughed.

"For an Idol, he is gullible. He is still so innocent. You find that really rarely in this world. He worked hard for everything." Atsuko's voice rang in his ears.

What was going on?

"And you accepted his proposal? I thought you were going to dump him!" The other voice laughed heartily.

No....No... What....

Yamada felt his heart pound in fear. Tears prickled his eyes.

"Otherwise was he gonna come open about us? His annoying parents somehow figured out I was after his money besides.... I like defaming someone. Do you know he is one with a lot of rumors but no scandals...." Atsuko sneered.

Yamada felt his heart shatter. He felt stupid. He had genuinely loved her...He...

"On top of that he believed my lie. I can't get pregant because I dont my life to be around lugging a baby on my hips. I still have a chance in the world." Atsuko giggled.

"I thought you couldnt have any after that abortion? Weren't you seeing him when it happened?" The other woman had snapped open a can of beer.

"He is so.... I don't know. Won't take me to bed at all. Says we need time. I mean seriously.... So... I am hoping to make use of his proposal and then make sure I make a false allegation and divorce him. Johnny's entertainment will anways cover up anything against their golden boy and I can live off his money!" She was laughing loudly.
