Chapter 12

On our drive to Desmond valley where the nearest airport was located everyone was giddy. We stopped multiple times for food and gas, but never to sleep. The buses were not far behind us giving Damen updates every hour. We've been driving for 19 hours and are closing in on our destination. Turns out the small airfield is owned by Damen and there's a Ranch on the property where we’ll be staying for the night.

“Are we almost there then Damen?” I ask feeling exhausted even though I’ve taken multiple naps throughout the ride.

“Were ahead of schedule by 4 hours we should be there in a few minutes.” He answered.

We drove for about 15 minutes before coming to an opening between in the trees. Turning into the opening we drove through a rocky path leading up what seemed to be a small mountain. So up the mountain we went and as we reached the peak there was a beautiful valley below.

“This was where I intended my pack house to be before the mate incident. There’s a few houses built, a ranch and a half built pack house.” Said Damen a hint of sadness to his voice.

“you can always finish Damen now is the time for new beginning’s.” I add to lift his spirits.

“Your right.” He smiles.

We reach the valley and were out the car and head to the ranch. Inside is a ranch converted into what looks like a theater entertainment center. There were three floors. On the first floor was all types of food machines and vending machines along with a Bowling alley and game counsels and TVs. On the 2nd floor was a dance floor and sitting booths. And the third floor was a huge theater with about 60 huge recliners. This place was huge.

“wow Damen this is amazing I’m sure your pack would love it.” I say with a cheerful smile.

Just then I hear the buses approaching. Lots of voices it seems everyone is really excited.

“I’m going to go for a walk. I feel so out of place. I'm supposed to be an Alpha a strong man who protects his pack but all I’ve done is hurt them and in return hurt myself and others. How can I expect the Alpha to understand and not just kill me on spot for kidnapping his pack females. We value our she wolves above all others it’s the worst thing possible to commit a crime against a she wolf. My wolf is Dormant right now ashamed of his actions against the moon goddess, my heart is burning with pain.” He say desperately tears streaming down his face.

Before I can comfort him Elizabeth is by his side his head on her shoulders.

“Oh Damen I see your grief now. I see how sorry you are and that you had no control over your actions. At least we were not raped, abused, or starved. We shall not tell my husband anything. I will get my pack wolves and swear everyone to secrecy. We’ll say your father kidnapped us after all he is a heart eating soul sucking beast. You could be our pretend savior and when the time is right well tell the truth. After the alpha knows he can trust you we’ll tell him the truth. He’ll never doubt me im his mate.” She coos to him.

“Really you would lie to your Mate for me, your whole pack will lie to their mates for me! Oh I couldn’t let you hold that burden. Though my mate doesn’t want me I still know what it’s like to love someone endlessly and blindly. I couldn’t force you to do that after all I put them through.” He says sadly

“Oh Damen don’t be so hard on yourself someone as good as you deserves a second chance.” Elizabeth replies

“ok only if your whole pack agrees I don’t want to force anyone.” He compromises.

“ok deal. Lets go meet with the pack.” She says

“That’s real kind of you Elizabeth, this must be why the moon goddess trust you, your heart is pure.” I say with a smile.

“Oh Fina these past 9 months you’ve been a daughter to me I can’t wait for you to meet my family, my son and daughter are close to you in age they are 19 and 17 now you’ll get along great.” She say giving me a hug.

We meet the pack in the yard and guide everyone to the party ranch. And into the theater.

“Have a seat everyone.” Luna Elizabeth says using her alpha tone.

And as expected everyone sat.

“I would like to ask you to lie for the sake of Damen to our Mates; I am not commanding anyone this is a group decision. You see Damen’s wolf was rabid when he kidnapped us. For his mate had rejected him. A girl from our pack, we all know as Ashley. Now we all know what it’s like to have a mate but do we know what it’s like to be rejected. Do we know what it’s like to be unwanted by the one person you’re destined for? Remember how it feels when your mate is away too busy working to call, you haven’t heard his voice in 2 hours and your heart is aching, but then he calls and you can breathe again. Well this man has been breathless for a year. And in my heart I pardon him cause just the thought of my mates rejection kills me inside.” She says tears falling from her face.

Everyone seems touched. One by one they all stand heads held high.

“we are always with you Luna your choice is ours.” Say the oldest women in the group. She’s small and wrinkled, with twinkly green eyes you can tell she is wise, gray hair and a small nose. Though she’s small and old she seems fit as if she was once a warrior.

“Well ladies be happy then. After we all eat we’ll get 8 hours rest. It 830 now well wake up 730 am and have 2 hours to pretty up and have breakfast. Well leave at 10 and be home in 2 hours. Prepare to see your men ladies.” Luna Elizabeth says jumping up and down excited.

I Leave the ladies to celebreate and grab Damen and pull him outside.

"Damen I just wanted to give you this." I say as I pull him down and kiss him. He kisses me back tenderly

"Little Fina as beautiful as you are you are too young. I am 25 now my wolf was a fool he was drawn to you but it was because we are your protector." He gives me one small kiss and hugs me.
