Adrien jolted his leg up and down as he waited for the surgery to be over. It's been a few hours since Marinette was rolled away to get a new pair of eyes. He couldn't help being nervous, even if after he wouldn't be able to see them for a few weeks. He bit his lip as he waited in a waiting room with Nino and Alya. "Dude you need to calm down." Nino chuckled and patted his back.
"Marinettes strong. She won't leave." Alya smiled and Adrien sighed and nodded.
"I know that, I'm just a little nervous, that's all." Adrien sheepishly smiles as the door opens, Dr.Swan walking in and softly smiling at them. Adrien was the first to stand and run to him.
"The surgeries over. There were not that many complications, all minor things that wouldn't affect her eyes. She's going to be waking up soon."
"Don't we need to wait like, three hours though?" Nino crossed his arms as they walked down the hall behind Dr.Swan to Marinettes room.
"We needed to make sure of a few things. She'll be able to take the bandages off in about three weeks and then we can start her recovery so she can control the direction of her eyes, where she faces, all that." He smiled as he opened the door to them and finding Mairnette sitting on a bed with her parents on the couch watching her.

Adrien smiled as he clung to Marinettes hand, her holding his back as Dr.Swan held the scissors to the bandage, Mairnettes parents behind Adrien with a video camera up and ready. "I-I'm scared." Marinette bit her lip as she blinked under the bandage.
"Don't be. It'll take a little bit to learn control over them but it'll be easy once you start. Your parents have explained you know how to keep your eyes open?" Dr.Swan put the scissors down on the table.
"Y-Yes. And I tend to look in the direction of the voice anyway." Marinette stammered.
"Then you're already halfway there," Dr.Swan smiled. "Now, are you ready?"
"N-No," Marinette bit her lip and lowered her head as he held the scissors in his hand. "What if I don't like the color of my new eyes?"
"Well we have your old ones in a jar for you to see," Adrien chuckled lightly. "Your parents and me are here. Nino and Alya are at school but they'll be here later."
Marinette hummed, taking in a deep breath then letting out a shaky sigh. "O-Okay, do it. I'm ready."
Dr.Swan snipped the bandage. "I'll do this slowly so your eyes have time to adjust to the light, but it is dim so it has enough time to focus, then I'll slowly turn the lights on." Marinette slowly nodded as he continued to take of the bandage. He took it off completely, setting on Marinettes side as she held her eyes tightly closed.
"Mari," Adrien squeezed her hand. "Open up."
"O-Okay." She slowly opened her eyes, blinking as her eyes adjusted and meeting Adriens green eyes for the first time.
