Marinette kept her head down as Nino and Chloe continued to shout at each other. She didn't feel any presents next to her, seeing as they were still and watching the scene unfold. She turned her head and looked at Marinette as she fumbled with her thumbs in her lap. "Hey," she brought her head up and looked somewhat in the direction of the voice. "Are you really blind?"

Marinette nodded. "Since I was born."

She smiled as she patted Marinette on the back. "Well it's nice you meet you. I'm Alya."

"M-Marinette." She stammered.

"I don't really have any friends in this school yet, wanna be friends?" Alya asked and Marinette was dumbstruck.

"You want to be friends, with me?"

"Yeah," Alya laughed. "You seem like a cool person to be around and your eyes are so awesome! They start at grey and then like form to a light blue." Marinette hummed.

"I don't know what any of those colors look like." She lowered her head and Alya cursed herself.

"Grey is like," she pursed her lips. "Well what do you see? That would help me explain."

"Lights and darkness." Marinette bit her lip.

"Then it's like a dim light in a room and then blue is liike the sound of a wave when it hits the sand or like a rain hitting the roof. It's a relaxing color." Marinette hummed and smiled a little.

"But why me?" Marinette asked.

"You seem like an amazing person and I want to get to know you." Alya smiled and Marinette couldn't help but smile wide.

"Okay."

Marinette walked into her garden after school and sat on the bench. She felt the door open and close and someone sit next to her. "Yes?" She lifted a brow. She already knew who it was. He never made himself known until he was near her. "Adrien?"

"How do you always know it's me?" He laughed as she leaned her head on his shoulder, closing her eyes.

"You don't say anything until your within arms reach," she dug her nose into his hoodie, smelling his rich cologne but the smell was faint. "Vanilla?"

"Yep," he popped the 'p' at the end. They sat in silence. "Something wrong?"

"I'm on a waiting list to get new eyes." Marinette sighed, rolling her bottom lip into her mouth and lightly sucking on it.

"That's great." Adrien smiled.

"No it's not. I want my eyes. I don't want someone else's eyes in my head when they deserve them. Can't they just like–Can't they just fix my pupils?" Marinette sighed as she opened her eyes.

"They can but they would probably have to replace them and your eyes would take longer to heal since you can put stitches in an eyeball, I think. And I think that's an even riskier procedure then just replacing your eyes as a whole." Adrien explained and Marinette sighed.

"I want to see."

"I know." They fell silent, a comfortable silent. Adrien turned his head when he heard small snores come from Marinette. He couldn't help but smile softly down at her. He put her backpack on his back and picked her up, carrying her home and then walking to his. He walked through the large mansion doors only to be met with a loud slap at his feet. He picked up the article and his eyes widened at the front of the magazine.
